I like everything except the wings and cockpit color.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.
thanks for all the feedback =) ... yes, they won t win a contest for most beatiful ship. well, its just a sketch. if you looked at the evolutionary sketches of that designer guy, they don t really look too beautiful either - but somewhat attractive in an undefined way. ( quite original like some of the other FL ships, like the BHG ships )
as for getting a ship into FL. no worry:laugh:- i just abuse you all for feedback. ship designs evolve - or are scrapped ( like my bretonian fighter, that i gave up .. it just turned out to be more "wanne-be-bretonian" than bretonian )
but we we might need are some designs that are more like AoMs hessian fighters or the vanilla fighters. ( fighter lines that "build up" as they grow heavier )
we have quite some unique designs there ( virage, the new hackers fighter, the starfox thing ) - but all those don t come in a series of ships.
btw. i was asked to think of something junkerish, so those are concepts. trying to find a shape that looked solid, but cheap, smallish and agile but not fragile. ( <-- thats what sums up junker ships in my opinion .. or should sum them up, since there are no real junker ships out there other than the CSV ) - or in a more descriptive way:
junker ships should be small enough to fly through dense debris, solid enough to take the occasional bump into stuff, cheap, cause they are not made out of high end materials and not sophisticated looking, cause they must be build without the best available shipyards - but on the other hand with great human expertise.
edit: oh, and i try to make them anything but jetplane looking, not cause i don t like it, but cause it makes for a good change.
edit2: only the fewest ships i present here are intended to be seriously given a chance to get into the mod... that is not cause i don t like them or so, but cause i do only model them, while others ( in case of the current zoner jug its doom ) have to do the formating, hardpointing, etc etc. .. ahh, i wish i knew how that stuff worked.
Well it definitely does resemble a mix of a few house designs. Kusari with the panels, Liberty with the bars on the lower fuselage and on the rear engine housing, and maybe Bretonia with the bubble cockpit? I'm not sure what the Junkers would use, but if it's to be a mixed theme ship then this would be a good choice.
Too tall in my opinion, it looks like you would have to use a floating dock point just do dock, cause it wouldn't fit in the docking bay. Still, pretty damn nice, Would love to fly that...
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs
re-modified those fighters do something that is a bit more "beautiful". while not as original as the other ones, those are definitely nicer looking. ( when it comes to proportions that you d expect from a spaceship - fighter )
they are based on a concept drawing i got from dusty lens and the CSV with its heavy front part and its rather thin tail.
light, heavy, VHF ( skinned sort of appropriately for a junkerfighter )
well, all in all, its a completely and more "classic" approach towards fighters of 3 classes.
about the cockpits ... i would really like to place a pilot in there and make the canopy transparent, but i don t know how to do it. - so i have to do this fake glass thingy.
edit: dammit, i just realized that i forgot to add another thruster on the heavy / VHF version - well, just imagine there were 2 thrusters then ( like the eagle )
