When i joined this server, I had a single character for first 30 days.
I was exploring systems (I was very excited when I meet a Rogue Mule with cargo full of gold, silly me, eh?), docking all bases (Neutral ID was accessible then), and PVP-ed only for fun in Connecticut with my friends.
I was actually writing down weapons damage, refire, speed, energy usage.
I was then comparing them with other guns that i found.
2 Months later, I found that programm, FLstat or something.
And i realized i lost 1 month on basically nothing.
But then again, when i look now, those 30 days were my best time on this server.
Chasing Rogue mules, following that white path in Nav Map to find wrecks etc etc.
So, my warm suggestion is, take time and explore it all.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.

There is no need for a database of any kind. Why? Because it's a spoiler, you should be taking your time going out there in the game and discovering things on your own.

Dustin, you're completely right.
Go find it yourself, just like the rest of us did. Experiment. Have some fun with it. But read the weapon descriptions, they will help massively if you're looking for a high-quality weapon for a specific faction.
Anyway, Puck pretty much summed it up.

I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.

I really can't agree that Nomad weapons are civilian weapons. While they are fairly accessible to the populous of the houses I see them as being more of a scientific and engineering experiment.
The fact that nomad weapons require to be either purchased from a reputable arms dealer or to simply hunt a Nomad vessel I feel is backing in my statement.
