At least there's - when NPCs spawn - plenty of them carrying these goods around. Reminds me to adjust the NPC cargo types around a bit so that unlawfuls can yarrharr their goods off of NPCs - at least, most of them.

That would be way cool from my unlawful side perspective. There are some materials my characters can't get through normal means alone without having to go through other suppliers. That a plus to the role play side which I like. Having to depend solely on others for needed supplies is a risky proposition.
Cargo pirating has been fun lately, (Kudos again Bowex for the RP!) but sometimes sitting at the lanes can be boring as watching C-Span re-runs. Being able to snatch some materials off of NPC's can both alleviate the boredom and help provided a much needed source of materials not otherwise inRPly gotten.
Thanks for that AD. Please make it a variety of base materials randomly if you can.
Planning to do it more or less by faction - you know, MOX for BMM. Quantum plexors for Samura. Optronics for Kishiro. Cryo's for IDF. Everything will be available, altough the higher end goods will be more rare. I'll try and get this sorted for update 5, no promises though.

Please do fix NPC cargo drops more, needs more basic alloy and various industrial materials.
Because winning.
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.
btw, I checked on one base about how many basic alloys dissapears for self-repairs. and its 2 basics per 12-14 secs. is it normal for lvl1 base? because it more then 12k of basics per day
Can someone check my fail math for me so that I can be sure I understand the math behind the mechanics.
Level 1 Base
Takes 3,240,000 damage per day by my math.
24 hours*60 minutes=1440 minutes in a day
1440 minutes*60 seconds = 86,400 seconds in a day
86,400/16 seconds = 5400 repair/damage cycles in one day
5400*(300+(1*300))= 3,240,000 damage per day
Now per the first post the repairs are:
1*1*60,000= 60,000 per 16 second cycle
60,000*5400= 324,000,000 damage repaired per day
----------------
So. My question is. If all my base takes in the wear and tear damage, does it still run a full repair cycle every 16 seconds (60k of repair) to cover the wear and tear damage (600 per 16 seconds)?
Seems like a waste of goods if it does. Or can someone explain this to me so I can understand it. I hate maths.

Your maths is correct. It is a waste of goods. It is intentional to make it harder for individuals to run bases.

While at the same time not taxing players with higher level bases. Even the wear and tear on a level 4 base not under attack will not exceed more then those 2 transport runs a day. Also means pinpricks like an occasional bomber forcefeeding your base a nova or two isn't really going to dig into repair supplies much.
