Background
The Lost Star Vigilantes are a close knit group of individuals working against the slavery, slavers and their employers, the Maltese. Started out in the Taus and later on expanded to Sigmas, they try to block the Outcasts' smuggling and human trafficking operations, while acting as a guerrilla fighting force against the Maltese war parties and pirates in those regions. They are anonymously supported and supplied by various organizations and individuals with similar aims or interests, most notably the Independent Miners Guild and the Gas Miners Guild.
Many members of the Vigilante have been fighting the slavery themselves long before the forming of the group, some of them as lonely warriors within the rocky battlegrounds, while some as police officers disgruntled by the LPI and the way organizations like them handle things. No matter what their background is, they stumbled upon each others and decided to work together for a cause they believe in. They maintain their independence from other organizations and try to stay away from the inflammable politics of the regions they are working in, concentrating on the reason they are together and fighting for; preserving the freedom of humanity and fighting the influence of the Maltese cardamine.
As a fighting force depending on resource aids coming from their main supporters, the IMG and the GMG, they also provide protection to the members of these factions, hunting their targets and supporting them in their battles as they request it in their operation zones. However, connections with these factions are never openly discussed to keep their supporters on the safe side.
Lost Star Operation Zones
Two areas the Vigilantes are interested in are the Taus and the Sigmas. Depending on the IMG in Taus to support their efforts for a while now, they are also slowly starting to build their organization in the Sigmas. The reasons for their activities in those areas are because that slavers, cardamine smugglers and the Maltese pirates frequent there; and the operation zones can be expected to change through additional contracts as the need arises.
The distance between the Tau Zone and the Sigma Zone forced the Vigilantes to form two mostly independent wings for those areas. The established Tau wing could not support the Sigmas, so a deal with the GMG was struck to keep them supplied there.
Tau Zone and the relationship with the IMG
Their successful operations in Taus against slavers, smugglers and the Outcasts caught the eye of the IMG. It was obvious that both the IMG and the Lost Star have similar aims and common enemies. Since the withdrawal of the Colonial forces from the Taus, the work of the IMG Para-Military became more dangerous as they had trouble keeping the troublesome Outcasts at bay. For that reason, the IMG decided to secretly fund the Lost Star Vigilantes. They gave them docking rights and housing in Java Station, which allowed the Vigilantes to do their jobs even better.
Lost Star Vigilantes help the IMG forces with keeping the Taus and their mining operations in the region safe, assisting them against any threat. Being partners for a long while now, their relationship is getting better by each successful day; their joint operations are common. The Vigilantes already consider Java as their home and the IMG as their friends, and the comprehensive contract the IMG gave them allows them to do whatever it is necessary to protect that base and the IMG people from whatever trouble they could get into.
Sigma Zone and the GMG
Because of the successes the Vigilantes had in Taus, the smugglers and slavers started to pass there less frequently. Even though it looked like something to cheer about, it was only obvious that the smugglers would move to another, less dangerous route. After some asking around and spreading around an informant network, soon they learned that this route might be the Sigmas as it's the only other way out for the Maltese to reach the house space.
The Vigilantes sent their scouts to the Sigmas as soon as they heard about it, and witnessed that the Maltese indeed decided to shift some of their their influence to the Sigmas, protecting their new favorite smuggling routes.
There were some difficulties for the Vigilantes, however, as they decided to expand to the Sigma Zone. For one, the Vigilantes did not have enough numbers to properly hold two zones at once. For another, the two regions are distanced from each other, which made it hard to support the Sigma Zone with resources from the Taus, or to send additional people to the Sigmas to help the ones who volunteered to be there in case they needed it. Despite these problems, they knew they should also shift some of their attention to the Sigmas, as they would have no purpose if slavers simply ignored them and took another route. Even though the lack of numbers would still be a problem for them in Sigmas, they had requested the GMG's help to keep the Sigma wing supplied at least, which the Guild replied with consent.
The relationship with the GMG is a new found one, as they had no significant direct communications before. But the GMG allowed them access to their bounty board, and the Sigma Vigilantes keep relying on that board to support themselves in that area, even shooting corsairs and other targets in the board out of necessity.
Organization of the Vigilantes
There are no ranks or anything like that for the Vigilantes, though the founder is Sol Fenrir, an ex-Maltese and an ex-slave. Generally, the Vigilantes are allowed to do whatever they wish and whenever they want it, however their work ethic and extremely close ties between the members keep them together in every situation.

Feedback: So far so good. You've made a couple decisions that i thought were a little funny, but that's just me. But overall.. has been nice.. and I've heard a lot of good things from my members that RP with you lot as well. At first I thought you were just another group of pvpwhores. But now I realize your pvp skills are utterly horrible so that can't possibly be it. *thumbs up*

Only serious feedback please. This doesn't need to become a flood topic.

Notice, that you can also give us feedback here about how we act ingame, things that could help us organizing stuff. We are open for any kind of feedback here. Feel free to post here or pm one of us if there is something you want to tell.
I was enslaved and had to post here. Please spare the whip masters.
I mean, eh...
The write-up is good, and IMG| have had some good times fighting alongside you. Once you get back into practice and scare off the Outcasts, we'll see how it goes. Keep it up in the meantime!
