An admin vote has just concluded and there's been some updates to thing. Here's a full list of what we've done:
Bounty Board Rules Updated:
Rule 5 Updated
Quote:OLD 5. All blanket* bounties must identify a target and set the total amount to be paid out. Evidence that this amount has been set aside for payment is also required. Blanket bounties may only be issued by official factions.
*Blanket meaning bounties other than those assigned to a specific target, such as assassination missions.
Quote:NEW 5. All blanket* bounties must identify a target and set a total amount to be paid out, or a set expiration date. Blanket bounties may only be issued by official factions, or by others so long as it is sponsored by an official faction. Out-of-roleplay sponsorships will not be valid.*** An official faction can only sponsor one unofficial group blanket bounty at a time.
* Blanket meaning bounties other than those assigned to a specific target, such as assassination missions.
*** The faction sponsoring the blanket bounty must have roleplay reasons to sponsor the bounty or assist the person or group issuing the bounty. ie; The GRN wouldn't sponsor a bounty by the Maquis that kills any Sirians in Gallia. It might be advantageous for the GRN to kill those people, but they would not work with the Maquis. On the same hand, the Council sponsoring a bounty by the Maquis for the same thing would also not be allowed. Even though Council and Maquis are friends, the Council are not hostile and do not have reason to kill all Sirians in Gallia.
Rule 10 Updated
Quote:OLD 10. Any player abusing the bounty system to drive players off the server or to further out-of-roleplay conflicts will face consequences for disrupting play.
Quote:NEW 10. Any player abusing the bounty system to drive players off the server, further out of roleplay conflicts, or to get around ID rules for the sake of pvp will face consequences.

If the IND posts a bounty on LR- it may not only be open to the IND. It must be open to Bounty Hunter, Mercenary or Freelancer players who register. Capiche?

Just so I am clear on what the "may participate" means: somebody like IC (for example) can register for Liberty Navy bounties, Bowex bounties, any of them, as long as the bounty operator allows IC (for example) to register for claims on that board? alternatively, Liberty Navy could register to claim bounties for ~GRN kills on the Bretonian board, if Bretonia allowed it?
I see the "above regulations" comment, but I dont see anything that would prohibit either of these scenarios.

may/mā/
Verb:
Expressing possibility.
par·tic·i·pate/pärˈtisəˌpāt/
Verb:
Take part.
Just make sure the work makes sense in roleplay. Corsairs claiming on an Outcast board, or Bretonians on the Gallic board wouldn't be applicable.
