What are the rules on pirating someone multiple times?
For example, if I were to pirate a ship. The transaction is completed, all runs smoothly and he/she leaves. How long do I have to wait until I can pirate that same ship again? If he/she were to dock at the nearest base then immediately turn around can i ask for more?
If you are foolish enough to come by the same route, you are fair game. Try striking a deal with the pirate, depending on how long you are going to run around. Pay him for a safe passage for a day or so. If you are the one doing the pirating, you can ask for the same.

Formally? yes ofcourse. trader comes back, new load, new profits, new pirating target.
It also depends on you i guess, its not against the rules, but if you have just managed to pull several mollion from him, you might want to let him pass.
If you only managed to get or asked for 500k from a 2k+ transport, then you might want to charge that again.
Well, sometimes pirates say "I won't pirate you today anymore" and all. Pirates are different though.
<strike>But I remember someone said (don't quite remember who was that) "If the trader is so stupid that he flies to the same place where he got pirated it's not your fault".
</strike>
Edit: ninja'd.
the only thing i would say is, don't be an *rse, just because the rules allow it does not mean somebody is going to enjoy being pirated for 5M 2x within the hour.
Also, a pirate must be pretty stupid to stay on one spot for a long time...
You can pirate the same ship as many times as you want, it's their fault after all for not avoiding you after encountering you already, but that doesn't mean you have to be a butthole, use common sense and think about the other player too, he/she is also a person just like you. But if they are stupid enough to take the same route after being robbed, enjoy yourself.
Basically it depends of the pirates. I do not get credits from a trader who payed me and do that with good RP. My bribe is 500.000 SC. I do not accept anymore, even if you want that.
As much of a douche move it may seem, if they get pirated and them come back down the same lane two minutes later it's the only way they'll learn. Perhaps cut them some slack if they seem like they might be a newer player but other than that they're fair game.
