Sigh...academics. I'm not sure which is more difficult--communicating with an academic or a Harvester. Still, Dr. Elderblow's credentials are impeccable and we need all the help we can get now that we are doing field maneuvers for the first time with our silent partners.
I'm authorizing the Junker Guards Party to fund some of her research and get her ship and gear outfitted for fieldwork. Then we can see if she can handle them.
Hehe...it took me months to get used to the noises in my head--that's going to be shock to her. Thank Junker science for that shielding!
We are close now. It's a shame when we pull this off, no one else will be able to remember it. That's the problem with perfect crimes--no one ever gets to know.
Ah, but the rewards...I might even stomp a few Xenos--starting with that "Copperhead"--in celebration after we are done.

I belive I have spoken to this scientist after verifiying her identity. If she needs funds house Culebra can offer a bit. However we will need something in exchange. I will discuss more when we meet in person.
Two of the four components were acquired today--far ahead of schedule! A partial retrieval of a third was even begun. We look to be on track for our intended time table--financing allowing.
Some chatter from the target zone indicates time may be of the essence. The very highest levels of government are rumored to be discussing the very object we are seeking. We must double our trade support and quickly. I'm not sure how we will manage it--but it must be done.
*JUNKER'S ROGUE NEWS NETWORK FEED*
*If its not Junker, its SCRAP!*
*Liberty Pursues Junkers!*
In their usual paranoid suspicion and heavy-handedness, the LSF and SA in New York attempted in the past few days to stop several vessels tagged as belonging to the Junker Guards Party.
The authorities claim they were carrying contraband--counterfeit software--but the JGP claims that the LSF had previously approved the use of it to control key experiments onboard the vessels. It also claims these experiments were of a classified nature and involved Junker security and patents for new technology.
A Junker Guards Spokesman, Fred Naught, head of the "New York Scrapper's Union" stated in a public interview that, "Junkers have a right to privacy in business planning and organization--just as any Liberty business does. The police and navy here have no right to try to blow our vessels away because they won't hand over business secrets."
In another proof of Junker ingenuity, the three vessels fled to the minefield near Norfolk Shipyard and then jumped from the system--leaving confused police and military units behind, clueless as to their whereabouts.
So we here at JRNN want to say a , "Hail Yeah!" to our cocky Junker pilots and a resounding, "Booyah!" to overzealous and uncommunicative authorities in Liberty.

Sir,
Here is my first repport about the task you make me the honnor to perform.
First i have to say that i wasn't prepared for what lies behind your smiles when refering to (i am quoting here) "this permanent background sound" ... i had so to deal with our "friends" with my mind melted and disturbated with what i called a "non sense working stance".
Anyway, i finally gathered a crew that started to transform the "reinland pirate cruiser" into a "real laboratory and hospital" though i had sometimes some problem to explain them that dirt is not allowed in such places and they have to wear protections clothes and to clean and sterilised after the job is done.
I also gathered a science team including mathematicians (refer to anex A), electronicians (refer to anex A and B), biologists and the formation of a medical team as started for battlefield hospital.
I notice to you, i promoted Malcolm O'Branigann as my second officer in charge of the ship's intendance, moves and combat, so that i can concentrate myself on my task ... he is a really well trained officer on witch i put my trust ... notice that he is also my electronic department chief (refer to anex A, B and C)
You'll find in the anex A, B and C a sumury of my experiences, i'll send you later a full report in a most secure channel, but i think it's important that you have the basic informations now.
Cordialy yours
Dr Karen E
Anex A : dealing with noise
When i boarded my "experimentation living material" in, i was unable (and my science crew also) to make any sense of our research because of these disturbating sounds. Malcolm O'Branigann seemed not to feel this anoyance himself so i asked him to find some kind of a solution ... and he did ... he found that the sounds frequencies where allowed to be converted into 0 and 1 ... binary ... with this discovery he made a conceptual model of a little device that ... once put in the ears ... well ... i won't extend here and you'll read it in my secure report.
Anex B : binary and applications
I have red all the report you transmited to me and, with Malcolm's discovery and help, i found a more stable and durable way to interface.
Once freed of the sounds, we were able to work with our "friends" on this subject that leeds us to a really convinient application for them and also us in return to deal with our mechanical allies. We moved to bonholm depot to scavenge the material we needed.
For the same reasons of anex A i'll send you the full report later.
Anex C : .:j:. JCG 0010111 unit
As you might have understood without further explanations, Malcolm and I have used the Anex A and B discoveries to proceed to a successfull interface with the scavenged and repaired material and are performing some test to make sure all is clear. (further details soon in secure channel)

object : hospital 25% on line
Sir,
I am proud to anounce that 25% of the hopital capacity is now on line, my crew worked hard, even for junkers and that's what made this possible.
we have proceed on the first use of it, while we were heading to new york system to initiate the JCG.0010111.Unit test, we were called for two brothers injured in a fight by two cap ships in our space in new berlin. The first one, Antoine "whale", though is out of danger will never walk again .... i put my biologist on him to find a way to turn this bad new in a good one. The over one, victore, had better luck with only superficial injurance.
Since i discussed this with my scientist team, it becomes obvious that we won't be able to have all laboratories and a full field hospital on the same vessel ... it's obvious too that keeping our experiment "material" aboard can be dangerous if we are attacked and we might lose it ... so we came to a conclusion ... we need an attached station in wich we can keep the materials in security once brough there and also install static laboratories with better protection if the base is situated in our space.
The Yanagi barkeep polished a glass, not looking at the quietly speaking Corsair seated across from him.
"Yes. Hessian comm traffic captured by Cadiz mentioned repeated docking by Junker armored transports. One of our pilots reported seeing one and mentioned they carried a very odd assortment of cargo--though nothing in and off itself entirely unusual."
Filling the glass with a shot of his finest whiskey, the barkeep slapped the glass down in front of the Corsair. "This one's for Carrie, Manuel. Tell the boys in the hangar bay I said to gear you up with whatever you need. Godspeed."
A flicker of emotion passed the Corsair's scarred face but he quickly stilled it. "Till the day then", he quietly said. Rising from his chair, the broad shouldered pilot limped towards the hangar bay.
Stepping back into the kitchen, the bartender flipped open a hidden com panel in the wall. "Move the packages. Corsair interests possible. Nemesis, out."
Whistling, he closed the panel and returned to work.
The last of the ships had just returned. They had the full measure and now it was time for phase three.
Tink I have transfered some funds to the Doctor to help her secure some equipment for research. It looks very promising. Also the ship we talked about should be online within the week. I have also noticed an increase in Xeno activity around Rochester. They tend to fly bombers so be careful. There is also a mercenary working for the Xenos. Perhaps the LSF should be made aware of this?
Doctor I would contact Ratchet he may be able to help you with your automated pilot. He will also be the one collecting the specimens you need for your research.
