I am Liam Anders, Minister of Agriculture for the Colonial Republic, and one of the main officials working to better the economy and civilian life of those in the Republic.
Recently some of our pilots have been noticing a larger presence of your convoys moving through Bretonia and the Taus. Our mutual friends in the Independent Miners Guild have always spoken highly of you, and it is our understanding that you produce or have ready access to a number of commodities we require.
If you are interested in a trade agreement, we may talk further and in more specifics. Good day in the meantime.
"My name is Rasmus Lagerlöf and I'm am the Chief Operational Officer of ALG Waste Disposal and assistant to our CEO, Frau Sachs."
"ALG is well aware of your close relations with the Independent Miners Guild and we have even met a few of your pilots in space around Java Station in Tau-23. However, we have never had any direct contact with the Colonial Republic and therefore I want to ask you a few questions before I forward your request to Frau Sachs."
"Shall we begin?"
"Now, little is ever heard about the Colonial Republic outside of the Taus, almost as if your presence in Sirius is unknown to the public. What is your relation with the other houses? Where are you located and are you actively trying to keep a low profile?"
"We would like to know more about your history. From what little I've heard your ancestors left Sol before the war even started. Is this correct? Also, when did you arrive in Sirius and how have your civilization fared since then?"
"And finally, if we are going to be working together we need to know that our transports will be safe while inside and on the way to and from your space. Are there any criminal groups active in and around your area and if so, what kind of protection can we expect from you? How far outside your space are your escorts allowed to go and what factions would you prefer that we did or did not hire as escorts while moving through your space?"
"That is all! I look forward to hearing your response, Mr. Anders, and to any future cooperation between the Colonials and ALG. If I find your answers satisfactory I shall forward you to Frau Sachs and she will handle negotiations from there."
I would be quite happy to talk to you, and Frau Sachs when the time comes. To start off, I will take your questions as best I can, and hopefully with answers that you can work with.
Starting off with our history, the Gemini and Orion set off - we now have found - eighty years before the Bulma Treaty massacre. The complete history isn't greatly important for this discussion, but the Colonials lived and prospered - for the most part - in the Crayter sector for several centuries.
We arrived in the Omega systems in 802 A.S. originally residing in Bretonia. Unwelcome there, we moved to the Taus and made our alliance with the Guild before settling in '44. *He sighs* I am sure you have heard of what happened when the Gauls arrived.
Of recent times we have been fairly quiet outside the Taus, yes. However, I am surprised you have not heard much of the Republic in the past. Since our arrival in Sirius, the previous administration has... made quite a name for themselves with most of the houses at one point or another. The Turf wars over Omega-7 would likely be the one you know most of.
Currently we stand firm alongside Bretonia, and our proximity lends us fairly good intentions with Liberty. Rheinland for the most part is fairly open to us, yet distant. We have fought Kusari in the past after problems between their Hogosha underlings and the Guild, and their alliance with the monstrous Gallia has us as hostile with both of them. For now we reside in Coronado, where distance from our enemies is our best defence. Other than the odd pirate which our home squadron can deal with, it is fairly safe, particularly outside the cloud. If you are coming in from Bretonia, we can provide additional escort on request from Cambridge. No-one welcome in that space would be a problem if you were to hire them as escorts.
I believe that should be enough for you to work with, but any further questions before we get to trade discussions are of course welcome.
"Your answers are most educational for myself and for other employees of ALG aswell, I am sure. The information that you provide here about your civilization will be shared with anyone involved in our future relations to ensure the best possible communication between our people. Thank you for taking the time, Mr. Anders."
"I have forwarded your request to Frau Sachs and she will contact you shortly to handle negotiations."
Sitting back in her comfortable presidents chair, made of black leather, in an sober designed office, glass of amber colored liquor in her hand, smiling, Nelly looked straight into the eyes of Liam Anders.
"Guten Abend herr Anders,
Nelly Sachs, President for ALG Waste Disposal here. Danke for your reply addressed to herr Lagerlöf, Ich, although reluctant to say this, wasn't up to speed with the Colonials all that much, und it's clearer to me now."
"Let's just start off by saying Ich am not content with these Gallics. Reasons enough and obvious too, if Ich may say so. And to learn what they did with your home, my blood starts to boil. Ich cannot disclose everything, but there are multiple.... things going on now, und hopefully a solution, or several, may present itself. All in time Ich suppose."
"We here at ALG Waste Disposal are very interested in a trade agreement between the Colonials und ALG. It seems only natural to me, as Ich said before, has certain reasons."
"What would you have in mind? What do you require und where exactly? What will we get in return? We are looking forward to your reply und hope to create a stable and trusted bond between the two of us."
"Und call me Nelly. Ich am not one for titles and common etiquette."
I was not aware of how severe your feelings were on the Gauls. I had always thought Rheinland quite neutral, perhaps you or your whole company are an exception at least. I lost my wife in the Exodus under fire, and many other friends and family of all of us were also lost *he pauses* For those we left behind. Thank you for your thoughts.
Moving onto business, things should be rather simple. The majority of our efforts are focused on and in orbit of Planet Yuma in the Coronado System. Sabah Shipyard is not yet complete, requiring materials for itself and the current roster of ships we maintain and produce. Our shuttles can move anything we need on the surface, so everything can be delivered to Sabah.
Specifically, we require:
Engine Components
High Temperature Alloys
Nanocapacitators
Nuclear Devices
Plutonium
Premium Scrap
We would also like to test your HazMat Canisters for holding some of the more... vivacious plant specimens from Yuma. They can also be useful for storing Toxic Waste, which you are very welcome to process (along with waste Scrap Metal) on your way out. Perhaps they can be used to store Deuterium as well, but I am no expert.
If you can let me know what quantities you are able to haul for us, a contract may be drawn up. Any work you do will be well paid-for, and of course the knowledge that your efforts are aiding our nation's people, and their fight against the Gallic menace.
Ich went to the logistics department und asked them for some raw numbers concerning the quantities we're able to transport without interfering into our daily operations und Ich believe they came up with reasonable numbers."
"Also, my sincere sympathies for those who were left behind, including your late wife. My condolences. Ich shall use the knowledge of this to fuel my operations against those Gauls und thus respect those lost, but not forgotten."
"So ja, numbers... Here are the raw quantities calculated:"
Engine Components: 20,000 units.
High Temperature Alloys: 20,000 units.
Nanocapacitators: 20,000 units.
Nuclear Devices: 10,000 units.
Plutonium: 10,000 units.
Premium Scrap: 30,000 units.
"Ich didn't see HazMat Canisters specifically in the list, so Ich have them right here, as in what we're able to haul to Sabah should you request such a number of them:
HazMat Canisters: 20,000 units.
"Und sure, one could store deuterium inside our HazMat Canisters, however, Ich see no direct reason to do so with it being one of 2 stable isotopes of hydrogen und is harmless, but Ich still recommend storing them into their usual units."
"Ich shall await the answer about these numbers und if Sabah could process this. Perhaps interesting to know is that we are able to do these numbers within 4 weeks, which seems also reasonable. It'd be a logistical nightmare if Sabah suddenly received everything und not enough of the waste build-up being lifted out in time, ja?"
Your concern is noted but unnecessary, Sabah has enough finished hangars to store an extremely large number of materials. It is simply that we do not have the finished equipment to fill these hangars effectively at the moment. Of course, anything that is required on the planet can be shuttled down in good time.
With that in mind, you and your company may begin hauling the materials in the numbers you have drawn up. The foremen should pay you well, but any deliveries made within the next four weeks can be provided with a bonus to be distributed amongst the pilots involved. A suitable incentive I would think, it works for the Movers at least.
I will take your word on the Canisters, and keep our Deuterium stored in the normal way. Any that you do bring and are not required for Yuma's specimens can be used to store Waste for you to process on your next run.
A pleasure doing business with you, which I hope extends into the future.
The dockworkers on Sabah haven't reported any deliveries on your part. While I would hope to have this rectified, we do need these supplies so may have to open it to other branches of your company or other corporations.

Good day,
My ship the [ALG]-TGX-Zwiesel and my partner the [ALG]-TGX-Ipf made a delivery of HazMat Cannisters to your Sabah shipyard today.
In total we delivered 9600 units. 4700 units aboard my ship and 4900 aboard the Ipf.
Here is proof of our delivery:
My ship, the Zwiesel had no problems docking, but the Ipf did not have the proper clearance to dock aboard Sabah so I had to shuttle the goods to the docks with my vessel.
This was my first time to Colorado, and indeed to one of your stations. I am impressed by the professionalism of your workforce. I look forward to bringing in more supplies in the coming weeks.
