Quick note that the Order is not an unlawful faction but an independent intel faction.
Corsairs and Outcasts excel in combat, piracy and smuggling. Imo they should lack the expertise/technology of building ships that corporate factions engineered and manufactured for their needs.
For smuggling your ship should be considered fast and sneaky. A big, clumsy 5k transport is neither.
Just give unlawfuls 5kers - what is the big deal? Literally everyone wins.

I agree with Toaster, it's completely nonsensical that an Intel faction has access to 5kers, much moreso than unlawfuls.

Even LPI, an actual consumer goods mass manufacturing corporation, has still only 4,3kers. So does Core who's APM are mass haulers also.
I disagree. I do not want to see a LR 5ker somewhere with a cardi and silent trading.
Unlawfuls and quasi-lawfuls: Up to 4.3k (Yes, I would not even give some of them 4.3k. We have the means soon to easily adjust smuggling to be worth it even on 3.6k)
(primarily) mining Corps: 4.3k
Shipping Corps: 5k
Law enforcement: 3.6k
Generic IDs: 3.6k

Unique ships like the Kujira (GMG 4.7k) or the Corsair Train (4.45k) can still exist. Incentive for "RP merchant ships" to be used.

Even though Bret Gov can server rule break and change laws on a whim with impunity, there's still some of us who believe in role play. Even if it's by a thread. You must BELIEVE!

Unless logistic factions that are not vanilla logistic factions get 5Ks, nobody but vanilla logistic factions should have them. Make an exception for one, the exception must be made to all.

Pretty much this. Easiest solution is to keep 5k to corporations, while every non generic ID can stick to 4800 cargo limit.

Agree. The whole advantage of trading corporations is to... trade. It doesn't make a lot of sense for sneaky smugglers to fly with a big, slow cargoship anyway.
