This only works if it's possible to restrict the position of a missions final waypoint.
The idea is simple really, make high level, high paying missions that send players to destroy a base instalation (with a lot of hitpoints) right next to an existing permanent base.
For example: Bretonians get a mission to destroy a base instalation next to Leeds planet. It will pay really well (20 mil or smth),and be very hard to do in anything other then a battleship or destroyer. Firstly because the base will take a lot of time to kill, Secondly because it will have a group of high level npcs defending it, thirdly because it will be next to an existing base and fourthly, plot twist, because most of the time there will be human players who will probably defend it.
Like existing high level missions it should be completed by a group of players, mostly given on battleships and available to the military factions.
Sounds pretty decent, just not sure how some people would take it inrp to have bases pop up and dissappear here and there (since in the event of failure the base would not be destroyed but be removed when the mission fails. But to me it would be good to keep busy when a group wants to do some fightin but maybe not many enemy players are online.
In that case, when the mission was accepted, an automated system chat could advertise that the mission is underway and where the target is (only in the system its taking place in), drawing in other players, which could be friendly or enemy.
Not possible. Missions get directed to "mission vignette" areas, spheres set in a specific area in the system. Placing such a vignette near an existing NPC base would see missions in general go there. The mission system native to the game is also not capable of broadcasting messages to players not involved in the mission.
What you request would require a new FLHook plugin.
Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.
Mostly retired Discovery member. May still visit from time to time.
Furthermore, I believe when you are on a mission every one of your enemies become neutral. Even nomads. (except those you meet on the mission) This does not let you land on their bases but random battleship patrols will leave you alone while the mission lasts.

Since that is the case, what about making a very defensive tank base that only Destroyers/Cruisers, Battlecruisers, or/and Battleships can only take on? The House faction Missions doesn't pay that well compared to the Edgeworlds missions.
