Sometimes I'm nice, sometimes if it's not an ore hauler or something really profitable I shoot their cargo to be mean, other times I even let the trader decide what they want to do. I even had one trader gamble with me using the dice to determine how much money he gave me, and I lost...

I try to be a nice pirate I guess.

There is a fourth type of pirate acting like a gentleman but still refusing to negotiate, and this is the one I like to encounter. Nice and chatty, but leaving you no doubt that he is going to rob you for a whole lot more than you like to give. This sort of pirate leaves me feeling pirated, rather than leaving me feeling like I run some kind of voluntary charity.
