Ahh... feeling much better now after a round with the punching bag and a long hot shower.

So, ye. I understand your point. Fine.

Three things before I go to bed to catch some sleep:

1. Stay alive. You seem to be alright. Would be a pity if I had to talk to Mr. Strict Guy more.
   
2. You Order need friends. Try to see less of a potential security breach in me, but perhaps someone who does a little part to make the whole <beep> up situation a little better. That's what I am.
   
3. And if a Nomad takes me, guess he'll have to sift through a huge load of <beep> I have seen before he finds these 32 irrelevant seconds. That I am no agent for whoever, I guess you can be sure about that just looking at my behaviour.

*She chuckles and shakes her head, seeming really amused about the thought of someone thinking she could be an agent. It seems absurd.*

What I mean is: Ye, was against your rules. Fine.
I doubt harm was done.
So the angry pitbull terriers could keep their slobbery teeth from my ankles and give me (and likely you) a break after a hard but successful day.

See... what really made me mad is:

• I appreciate what you guys do. Immensely. The story and the sight of Toledo has opened not only my eyes.
  
• But: You - or rather your superior watchdogs - do obviously not appreciate my little contribution. And that pissed me off. And... seriously: It is not your daily bread to be attacked by a warship in a Battletransport! If it was, you would not be alive any more. Only luck saved my ass today.

perhaps you haven't heard of it, but:

Space is dangerous. To say this about the Omicrons is ein understatement.

The miners guild and the OSD had ein business deal. And if it wasn't for your
stupidity, both you and me could lean back and relax. Not possible anymore.

And if you haven't learned it,yet, the Order has such tight regulations
for certain reasons.

Nun, if that means, that you act like ein prima-donna after you received
a well deseved slap on the wrist, wile our securiy stays intact, fine.

I can sleep very well with that.

Who the Order sees as friends and who not, is not your concern. If the guild wants
to belong to this group, it has to earn our trust. It's as simple as that.

You on the other hand, should count yourself lucky that certain other people
haven't heard about this incident. Or you'd find yourself on ein certain list.

Good morning, miss Morrow. This is Constantine of the Overwatch.

I am probably better known to you as Sol Fenrir of the Lost Star Vigilantes, or otherwise, the former Tau Cell of the Order, the ones that helped you keep safe the Taus until you got so bored and started to complain about not enough Outcasts at one point. Now I hope you'll know the amount of care we put in your survival and well being. We have, all this time, and will continue to call you among our most important friends.

We'd never forget your importance, as the position you hold in key sectors of Sirius are like fortresses of great value for us, that help us keep the inner parts of Sirius safer from Nomad influence, of which the foremost are the Outcasts with their total disregard for human life.

Our relationship with you was rather close in the Taus when I was still there, though I have to apologize I could not remain there any longer. You've seen how hard pressed we are in our core systems, which was most obvious to you with the sight of our Toledo, I am sure.

Now, I hope you'll be looking at my men with less distaste, knowing the amount of care we have put in your safety and well being, and are continuing to do so, though as usually it may be without your knowledge. I am glad to hear that the IMG are willing to supply our division with necessary resources, and I wish it would remain that way. There are many gains for you, I suppose, that would be granted to you if you keep on doing that, though it is obvious you're also aware of the dangers it does have, as well.

All that's requested of you is to remain calm and remember the guidelines our agents told you about. Those guidelines are there for your own safety, as much as ours, as we don't really want to lose a shipment of valuable resources and an invaluable pilot like yourself.

I do hope we'll all relax. The guidelines are in effect immediately, and will remain in effect until our Commander Davids or the other watchers say other wise.

Dear Agents of the Order Overwatch,

This is Jack Henderson, IMG Operations speaking.

I assume it's best if I take over the official communications from here after I was informed about some irregularities on the last mission and a lively correspondence that was not lacking emotionality.

To close that chapter, there is a written statement that Ms. Morrow submitted with her report, before she received a day off to recover from the flight and the attached tension. I guess that's as good as it gets.

I respect your rules.
And I apologize for my tone.
And also for not listening to Agent Kernor.
It was the hardest and most dangerous flight I have ever led and I was wound up and upset.

I assume that this clears the tensions, especially as we are talking about a successful mission even if it was not 100 % perfectly clean.

Whatever Ms. Morrow said, just regard the following as the official IMG stance:

• The Guild regards the Order as important allies in the fight against the alien threat
  
• The secret Tau cooperation pact stays untouched
  
• The Outcasts are a common enemy in the Taus, as their link with the Nomads is rather obvious
  
• The IMG offers docking permission to the IMG bases of Tau 39, Tau 37 and Tau 44 for Order agents to stage from and to repair and resupply.
  
• The IMG will continue to assist the Order when we can help.
  

An upset convoy leader whose pride was hurt and who got a little more than she could take at that time does not change anything in the real picture.

You likely don't know Ms. Morrow, but after a day off, she will have calmed down. Furthermore, I also have to warn you that she is one of the few operatives that I can send on such dangerous out-of-area missions. So perhaps you can be nice to her next time, given she does not screw up things again.

Anyway, I am glad that this mission was successfully accomplished.
I extend my thanks to Agent Kernor who assisted the Guild's convoy immensely.

wow, now you caught me off guard. I did not expect to hear of you again. Nice to see you are alive! Lost you out of sight... long time ago.

So you are still that benevolent giant of a man who still manages to be that calm word that makes my fury go away. Even over distance. If I did not expect you anywhere, then in the deep Omicrons, fighting the aliens with the Order. But, somehow it makes sense, now that I think about it.

Sol, I calmed down and I am fine again. Thank you, your explanation helped to make sense of it. I was very angry yesterday. Ungratefulness hurts if you take insane risk and then get it slapped in your face. But that was yesterday. I... sleep for a night, and the shit disappears, or at least the experience does not hurt any more in the morning. Likely my best skill I have. Wow. That sounds pretty pathetic.

So, if you want to do me a favour, somehow calm those down that I drove over yesterday in my rage. Most likely did not deserve it. Was a tense flight and I am kind of sorry for going over board. Hope you at least understand. Of course, don't tell them what I wrote to you. That's between you and me. But ye... you understand what I mean.

I'd like to think that I did not change, but a lot has changed around me. It feels good to remember those days again, when everything felt simpler, and when I did not have to do desk work as much.

Still, it's good to see you're the same old Julia Morrow, and well, don't change please. However, I have to explain to you a few points, so you could see things from another point of view, and realize why something that looked so innocent caused a lot of problems. I hope that will make you feel less sad about this, especially if you decide to continue to supply our divisions.

We are aware of the dangers you had to go through in order to supply us, we are also aware that you don't go through these dangers every day. And we know that you were happy with concluding the run with no losses in the end, and wished praise for it. Though you got a reply that was in total contrast to your expectations. That disappointed you and you had a really bad night.

Well, you were not the only one who had a bad night. The whole Division of Science had a bad night, especially Agent Kernor who was tasked with escorting you. You have to realize that these agents risk their lives everyday to keep people from entering that hole willingly or through a mistake. Their Division were ashamed that they allowed such a breach of security, and were saddened more than you could realize. That 32 seconds is not something simple that you can just shrug off, while one of our main duties is to keep people away from there.

So, there will be punishments, and that can't be helped. However, nobody who punishes will feel good about this, and nobody who gets punished will feel bad about this. If we can pride ourselves on something, that's our fairness. We are used to ask for no recognition, as we risk our lives for people who consider us terrorists, everyday. We are also not disheartened by punishments and taking blames, as we know the value of our own lives, and the ones we volunteered to protect.

Do not worry about Agent Kernor. Though the Overwatch has authority over all the divisions and cells, we tend to not use that authority most of the times. It would be like meddling in the affairs of a family if we decided to, as the Science Division is like one. Kernor will be treated fairly among his brothers and sisters. The other agents may look and sound harsh, and well, they are, but that's how the Omicrons, especially our part, shapes you. Have no doubt that they care for each other like family, still, as they all share a loss of their loved ones, which tightens their bonds immensely, aware of each others' value.

With this I hope you'll have an insight on another point of view, and will not be troubled any more. I wish I could be the one in the charge of escorts as you fly over to the Omicrons... Maybe next time as that would make things a lot easier for everyone, though do not be hopeful, I am quite preoccupied nearly all the time.

And thanks, I'll try to be safe. Same to you; don't die. I have no idea why a young girl like you takes such risks. Go find a handsome man, have a family, make children, be happy, really... But I guess, I have quite a lot around me like you, which I wonder at and ask, 'Why?', as well.

Hey Sol,

Nice to hear from you again! Sorry for my delayed reply, I was busy getting myself into harm's way in a different transport mission, this time for the Colonial Republic. We found a shortcut between Coronado and Newcastle which shortens the route immensely. Anyway, that's what kept me occupied.

So... I understand the Order point of view now. And hearing that the Agent will not be skinned my Mr. Strict comes as a relief. I liked him. And obviously I didn't immediately and fully fell in love with Mr. Strict. But, I guess that's how the things are. And it's not really some big punishment if I do not have to fly through Zeta for deliveries. So... I am pretty cool about all this affair after a few days, another transport mission to care about and your explanations that also helped immensely to understand why my decision was such a big thing.

Somehow, you sound almost happy, Sol. Seems these people around you are a good kind of family, at least I wish that this is the case. I guess some jobs can't just be done without people who are equally crazy.

About your question why I am doing these missions. Hm. Really good question. Quite a part is naivety. Flying the Battletransport into the Omicrons was a mistake that will not be repeated. Smaller transports with Countermeasures and the ability to evade incoming fire will be used.

The rest... I don't know. I think, I still want to prove something, even though I do not know to whom and why. Weird, isn't it? Still, I feel like it.

And, the last reason is likely: someone has to do it. Of course I could deny. But who does it then? It would feel horrible if I denied, someone else was asked, tried it and failed. Even worse if something bad happened. I guess, I like being in control, even if it puts myself at risk.

Anyway, Sol: Really. Sometimes I could kick you, know why? Because you often make me think about things that I never think about normally. And I hate thinking about myself. It's confusing!

I'll stay alive, or at least try really hard.
In case a new delivery is needed, I'll make sure to not screw up and stomp on someone's toes too hard, but it will also be much easier as we now know the real route and smaller transports will do a lot better. So... don't worry too much.
