NPC Callsigns depending on ID?

Not quite. In fact, very few of us are freelancers;)

So is there ANY way for the NPCs to check your ID mount and hail you with the respective faction name? :unsure:

Yes I know what you meant. But I think reading ID's would be problematic since there are few new ID's like Mercenaries, Asgard Warriors or Coalition - and so on. I don't think those have sound files.

Wouldn't it be better then - if even possible - to read out the tag/reputation?

I'd be more than pleased just if Navy NPC's won't ask navy ID'd cruisers to drop the cruiser commanders -.-
