This. If the Gallic Junkers weren't universally assumed as spies (they really shouldn't be) and didn't have such a terrible IFF, they would be a perfect Gallic Intelligence, albeit somewhat unprofessional. Even still, the unprofessionalness would be a nice change of pace.

Y'know, just go create unofficial factions, RP using GRP/GRN ids, get official, get an ID. simple.

I dont see any difficulty in adding additional ID with appropriately tailored permissions to match whatever Gallic intelligence could do. No new assets, no new content - all pushed through the same means as player faction ID's are handled. They can stick to FL / GRN IFF as only Order and LSF have their own affilations from this type of factions.

Or just expand GRN ID with whatever "GI" would usually do and RP them as part of the navy.

Basically this. it's all i'm asking. either expand the GRN ID, or slip in an ID with appropriate permissions.

That's not going to happen. They already have a clearly defined role.

Also, doing something because it's easy doesn't always mean it's a good thing to do.

Well i havent seen any actual uncontestable reasons why adding an intel ID would be bad, yet. .

to recap, the arguments provided by people and their counter arguments:

A1: There arent enough players. (an understandable point)
CA1: the intel ID being added might entice more people to play with gallic chars.

A2: Use the GRN ID
CA2: It is ill suited for the RP and actions. Echo provided this answer as well.

CA3: Add a passage that says "may only target House militaries, Outcasts, colonial republic and Council". People will still pew, but reduces the amount of targets they can pew to main enemies who also primarily pew.

A4: Use the gallic junker ID.
CA4: A plausible suggestion, but the GJ rep would hinder anything in regards to Kusari, not to mention the general hostility by a lot of factions towards them.

A5: Use the GRP ID.
CA5: Similar to the GRN ID. it's not suitable for intel RP and actions.

I welcome more feedback about the idea.
