The ID says it's allowed to shoot Navy and Police players all over, which is great.
But how about Corsairs and Outcasts? They are on the list of SCRA traditional enemies, can I really only shoot them when/if they are carrying artifacts/cardamine?
"Can attack any ship to protect an alllied ship" is the clause indie Coalition ID'd players would be using on Gamma raids fighting alongside Hessians and such things, then?
Can the same clause be used join IMG against Outcasts in Tau-23?
Sairs and OCs represent military might as well, so why not? Especially when it comes to your own safety issues.
For sure you are red to the first ones, don't know about the second, should be the same. Considering their freighters/transports as something which can be harmful is up to you. It's also arguable if SCRA cares anyhow about cardi/artifacts at all.
Yes, inRP protecting Hessians is right of course. However, protecting the raiding aggressor is somehow weird, but who cares?
Technically the Corsairs and Outcast count as Unlawfuls which in this case are pirates despite creating their own 'governments'. So no they can't attack Outcast/Corsairs unless in defense of a ally or themselves or if carrying contraband. But it's always good to get an admin's perspective so lemme send out the call.
Or rather, get them or devs to fix the ID. I always found it kinda wierd that indies wasnt able to shoot at pirates and thus fulfil their 2nd duty - protect civilian traders/miners/explorers. I hope it will come to us in next update.
Second thing is promise/wish of Aerelm to make indies able to fly cruisers alongside with SCRA ID. Maybe one of next patches will contain this too.
Coalition is a micro-house, I believe. Something alike GMG, who are trying (in lore) to be a factual house, but they still retain one system - like the Crayter Republic.
