Don't seem to hear much of awesome RP like it happened almost 5 years ago when I started, it seems to have just degraded into PvP allday, erryday. Mind you, PvP can be fun, and is a (big? biggish?) part of the game, playing in the story of Freelancer was a much bigger "come check this out"-factor for Disco. Because PvP servers, even if they didn't have so many ships to chose from, were out there en mass almost...not to mention considering how easily one can cheat in this game.
I do agree with having too many factions around though. Also due to Gallia. And it might even be that that "going away from the vanilla story" was also a big turn off for people who were interested in RPing in the vanilla environment, for those who wished to know "what happens after the nomads are gone?" - because, didn't we all feel like the game left us hanging at the end? (It was a good thing, made us explore, but then you'd realize that that question was still never answered...)
Why does it have to be so black-and-white? Why call it a 'reward'? How about 'solution'? Would you feel like an super special snowflake if your ship had a terrorist ID mounted?
It would mean that Tuta could continue the activity that quite a lot of players seem somewhat fond of, without upsetting the lore-lords.
It seems the only complaint is the fact that the gang used mixed ID's including the HF one - that complaint would be irrelevant if they had terrorist ID's. Problem solved.

Because the devs apparently decided that a blanket, PvP-all-type ID is either not necessary or not productive within the community.

Problem could be solved just as easily if the gang/player in question used one of the many unlawful IDs that permit their desired activities within Liberty without violating the rules.
People have to think about the good things about someone or something.
One day, teacher showed the students an empty paper, which had a black dot in the middle of it. The teacher asked "What you see"?
-First student "A dot".
-Second student "A black dot".
-Third student "Big black dot".
The teacher answered "You all saw a black dot, but none of you saw the whole white paper around the black dot. The black part of the paper is the negative side of a person, the white part of the paper is the positive side of him/her. Men, as always, only looks for the negative and sees only it."
This is how it usually happens. We always pay much attention if someone does something bad.
Nobody is bad, everyone has a good side. Why don't you just take some unimportant things easy?
