Leo as usual woke up before Aeris. He knew its better to let her sleep, so he went to the cockpit and did what he loved most; Played video games. About and hour and a half later when Aeris woke up, they had a quick breakfast and then continued the journey.
-This was a good start. Leo stated.
-Could have been better Aeris said.
-If you say so
When they got to Omega 3 jump gate they hit a traffic jam. Five Republican and four Bowex transports were all waiting to dock. After a thirty minute wait, Aeris decided to go back to sleep, and Leo decided to get back to playing games. It took three hours for the transports and their escorts to dock, so Leo was able to dock.
The trip through Omega 3 was peaceful, without any incidents. They had to dock to Freeport 1 to take some additional supplies and refuel, seeing as the nearest station they could risk docking with was Trafalgar, a Junker base west of Southampton Shipyards in New London. After that was done, they got back on the way. They evaded Norfolk patrols, and run into a Corsair Preatorian. Seeing as Mollys offered a nice sum of 650 000 credits on any Corsair bomber, they decided to collect it.
-Well now, you appear to be worth some credits. Leo said.
-Any you intend to collect it? Corsair replied.
-Well, you are worth a certain sum of credits, but seeing as we are all about business, you can make us a better offer to let you go. Aeris said.
-Yes that would work too Leo agreed.
-No, I dont think so. But you can try to collect the bounty if youd care to die. Corsair confidently replied.
The fight started, and the poor Corsair soon realized his mistake. The modified GMG Skyblasts were doing their job excellently, and the Corsair made a run for it. After a long chase Corsair managed to get away by docking with Cadiz in Omega 5.
-I know when Im defeated. Corsair said.
-Smart Well, it was nothing personal, only business. Aeris told him.
-Indeed. Leo agreed.
They got back to Cambridge and headed on their way. To evade Bretonian patrols, they were forced to take a jump hole to Leeds. They werent lucky enough though. Trying to get to Trafalgar, they ran into two Bretonian officers.
-"This is Bretonia Armed Forces Lieutenant Commander James Hobart, please stand by for a cargo scan." - One of them said.
Hoping the Bretonians wont find the info, they submitted to a scan.
-"Sigh, I find that hard to believe. However, lets take it that you really don't know, I'll help you pinpoint them with my scanners." - Hobart replied.
With his help, they discovered that the artifact was actually a souvenir, bought on Freeport 9 from Zoners over a month ago. As it was of no importance, they jettisoned it. The counterfeit software turned out to be five Leo's favorite games.
-"That is not possible! I bought these from Freeport 2 over a year ago." - He said. - "Your scanners must be malfunctioning or something."
After a short argue, despite Aeriss disagreement, Leo decided to make a run for it. They managed to escape from Hobart, but lieutenant Robert Jones was still behind them.. A fight started, and Roberts ship got destroyed as he tried to make a run for it. As he was thrusting in his escape pod, Leo told him:
-"Unfortunatley, we dont take attacks on our ship lightly."
-"I'll try to remember that"
