Gentlemen and women of the Independent Systems.

The Unioner, perennially a grave man, looked graver. A grief line seaming into the scarred base of his lost lower jaw, crinkling the paled skin of a man who has never seen the sun except behind a layer of shields.

But there was fire there. Somewhere in the dour gloom of his face. Not his face the fire rode on, but his heart. His tongue. A self-belief that put aside all politicking. He believed.

Warriors. Smugglers. Businessmen. Separatists. Freelancers. Soldiers. Brothers!

Strange I call you gentle. Leave your gentleness at the door! Strange days when all that is good is thrown into the grinder for rocks, for dust. For the ego of jarheads and medalled men! For those who would call themselves free but would send children to die! I won’t give you high astounding terms about courage and honour; you wouldn’t listen to it. It’s not who we are. We live between the stars, not in the light. In the interstices between the so-called “civilised”. Fifteen metres of armour and a millimetre of blue suede uniform separates the Feds from us. Who are they to cast aspersion on our way of life, to see us ripe for sacrifice to win more medals, thicker uniforms, a casket with a flag on it?


I’ll be brief. The Liberty Navy and the LSF are pouring into the Bering and Puerto Rico. Soon, they will occupy us. All of us. I would say like crap out of a sewer drain, but that demeans the risk. Hunter-killer groups of professional soldiers armed with top-generation artillery are storming systematically into our home realms. We are all, one way or another, wanted men.


Liberty’s justification is that they are in the right, and we are wrong. From the eyes of the government, there is a special place in hell reserved for us, and all our kind! As if we were bound by any other choice, and that, if we had only worked a little harder, aimed a little higher, we could have tucked ourselves behind the same fifteen metres of armour and few millimetres of uniform that each of the enlisted enjoy. This is the lie that they will tell themselves as they hold your family at gunpoint as they demand the evidence with which to incarcerate you, to live the rest of your life, breaking chunks of carcinogenic waste into smaller chunks of carcinogenic waste.



Liberty is a system; Liberty is a lie! If you are wealthy and middle class, you are raised to some service job. If you are poor, you are criminalised. You have no freedom. You have no liberty. Sader may sail his gleaming silver ships into the tanner belt blowing the bugle of freedom, but the truth is, the man has no idea of what freedom is. Freedom, to Sader, is a means to impress impressionable young men into dying against the Gauls. Freedom is a terror weapon. It is a cryer-branded Xanax to cause the free to forget the crushing monotony of their existence. Freedom is an alien, wearing the skin suit of a military official. Freedom is debt to them. Freedom is an everlasting interhouse war.


They do not know freedom. Freedom is the power to live beyond these systems of subversion. Freedom is a backroom deal without questions asked, beyond the constraints of the law. Freedom is waking up to realise your senior officers are aliens and doing what must be done to liberate your men from their command. Freedom is the right to go anywhere without tax, without regulation. Freedom is fighting for the cause you believe in, even after your homeland has cast your and your ancestors out. Freedom is the right to survive, even when the pigs tell you, you shouldn’t. Freedom is picking through salvage fields for treasures that others would trash. Freedom is to live, beyond the law, for one’s own principles, for one’s own way of life.



Men like Sader, like Pope Brettonias, like Senior Agent Veritas, like the goddamn President of the frakking Republic, would see us dead, to maintain their institutions of power. They believe they have the overwhelming force to crush us where we stand, whilst they sit behind in their armoured offices sending underlings to die. And, from first analysis, they are correct.

Yet this is a delusion.

WE WILL NOT BE COWED! OUR BACKS WILL NOT BE TROD!


We are strong. We are free! The independent worlds are what they claim to be! Independent, free of oppression, free of nationality, free of the so-called Confederation of Freeports who regulates said freedom with silk and the knife!

We will not be destroyed in this hour! Far from the repression of our respective freedoms, our freedoms will be enobled!!! Emboldened! We will stare ”the man” in the eye and kick him in the sodding balls.



I will recap the events of the last three days.


The Confederation of Freeports has sent the Direktorate and the Ratpack a declaration of war. They seem to regard the self-emancipation of the population of Freeport Two from the control of the cloying, oppressive Zoner traditions as a threat to their own twisted concept of power. Rather than come and settle the score diplomatically, they have relied on the Libertonian dogs to play fetch for them. Liberty has long hunted for the means that it can push its border uncontested to that of the Rhein. They will do everything within their power to turn the independent worlds into their territories – in Puerto Rico and Bering, they are attempting to achieve what a half decade of war between Rheinland and themselves could not – to expand their borders towards Sirius’s resource wealthy east.



If the Independent worlds fall, inter-house war between Liberty and Rheinland will recommence. The border tension will be too much. Thousands more will die, at home, and abroad.

We have a duty, we few fifteen thousand, to defend our nook amongst the stars so millions more may live.


I know we are not moral men. What the governments of foreign houses do, means little to us. We only wish to live. Yet freedom is not free. And there remains a responsibility in freedom. The Independent worlds must exist, free of government, to prevent Sirius from falling into continuous war. This is what the bluesuits want – war, forever. For little men like us to die in their perpetual need for power, for gratification, against other little men.

I piss on their names.





In Puerto Rico, the Liberty Security force has made moves. They have constructed an unlawful forward operating base on Junker sovereign territory – we now know the purpose of the base; an espionage installation, monitoring signal traffic, and also an armoured fortress to cut the jugular of all Free People’s access to the New Hampshire system. Dagger is a dagger in the back of freedom, of smuggling, of all attempts for the Junkers and Freelance Traders to access the Rheinlandic north.

They have gone further. Already LSF detachements are engaging Unioner traffic throughout Bering and Puerto Rico. Armoured Homeland Security battalions have moved into Puerto Rico without justification. We believe the LSF are looking to directly remove the sovereignty of Puerto Rico and arrest the resident Arbiters on smuggling charges.

They believed they could take our freedom without opposition.

They were wrong.



The above image shows the destruction of a top-generation Libertonian Battlecruiser, the LSF Highlands, rigged for purpose by the Liberty Security Force. The vessel entered Puerto Rico to assist LSF fighter squadrons who had already been driven off by the brave Unioner Syndics who sallied to oppose them despite overwhelming technological and logistical odds arrayed against them. We vanquished – without a single loss. The battlecruiser was destroyed, its wreckage floating around the Puerto Rico sun awaiting salvage. Its sister ship was driven off – and now lurks somewhere within the tanner belt, watching the inhabitants of Bering for any sign of misgiving or mischievousness. Gathering the evidence to put us all in a cell.


My brothers – Victory against the jarheads is not impossible. We have proved such in our darkest hours. Let this embolden us in the weeks ahead.


You see all their taxpayers money burning? That hulk symbolises all those that invade us. Death to spies – death to cheats. Death to invaders. Not because we wish it so but because we have no other choice. We are not slaves to the Sugarland machine.


However we cannot repeat what we do not have the resources to execute. This was the footage which greeted Unioner homeland defence squadrons yesterday. To its validity, Jimmy can attest:



A Liberty Navy carrier group, following ESRD naval intelligence elements (which were repulsed), entered Bering in an undeclared act of invasion, with the aim of isolating and boarding the former Freeport 2, now self-liberated as Freeport Providence and under the admistration of Jimmy’s boys. Unioner forces fought bravely, decisively, making use of the defence plans that we have long spent the months crafting, over and over again.

All the defenders were lost. Three hundred and thirty five lives sacrificed to delay the blockade.

As we learnt later, the Zoners had sold us out. The CoF had reneged on their promised twenty four hour grace period and in came the so-called “Liberty” Navy. We have already started filling the fields with gravimetric mines to discourage a second carrier assault. We will not be caught by the wardogs again.

With their fleet elements positioned in Bering, the Liberty Navy immediately started laying down an extremely unhumanitarian and ruthless blockade, even forbidding transports laden with nothing but food and medical supplies from docking with the station. If not for the brave work of the Rat Pack, no supplies would have made it to port. No evacuations were possible. To make matters worse, ESRD scouts were last seen by the hanseatic transport sprinting down the decaying trade lanes to Marshall station. It is likely the Liberty Navy is now aware of the position of the Separatist vanguard, and will attempt to destroy it, whilst they have the chance.

In short, Puerto and Bering are under total threat of annexation, and there is nothing we can do to prevent its inevitability, if we act without regard for the survival of one another.




Gentlemen. This is what we must do. To stop the destruction of our way of live, we must live free. We must help each other, in accordance to our individual strengths. We are presented with an enemy who will attack civilians without regard, who is motivated by greed, and considers us a prime target for harassment.

We must come to an accord. We must work together, overtly and covertly, to overcome the challenge to our liberties.

We will stand together, the Rat Pack, the Pacifica Cell, the Liberty Separatists, the Junker Congress, in an agreement that does not seek to wash away our differences, but respects our invidiousness as men. We will rebel together.

We are drafting the proposed treaty resolution as we speak. Till then, delay the Libertonians as well as you can. We are not without hope yet. In this proposal we will cohere diplomatic, economic, and, for those of us who will be taking direct action, plans for guerilla war. We will all have to play a part, according to our own areas of expertise - together, we will win.


For the future of the independent worlds - long may they remain so, and for the freedom of the families who depend upon us to protect them.

What you are proposing would spell death for the congress......although death is inevitable if what you say is true. This puts me in a precarious position. On one hand, past Arbiters like James Trenton and Wild Bill sacrificed so much to make Puerto Rico a safe haven for our Junker brethren and would already be up in arms over Dagger Complex. LSF are meanies.
I was repeatedly assaulted by one a few nights ago just outside a Manhatten nightclub.
Falsely accused me of doing something wrong. Said he had the evidence, but wouldn't produce it. Said he didn't need to, and THAT is wrong. Never laid a charge but went straight for the "bribe" and I have an eye witness who saw it all and tried to protect me.

The scum then tried to threaten me because I am a Junker lass saying my ship was all wrong. I fly a legit ship for Junkers, as allowed by law. Even showed him the relevant section. He didn't care. He wanted the "bribe".

(I was so humiliated, so intimidated, so VIOLATED!!! (sob).

Then the fat slob started charging his guns. I was so fortunate to my hero, a Freelancer, distracting the Liberty Sleezey Fatso, so I made it to my door and locked it! It was so close!

The LSF are nasty. See how they thumb their noses at the law and built their vulgar base in Puerto Rico? No permission granted. And they are supposed to respect and uphold the law. Shame on them!
