Admiral.

Several months ago, R&D completed the construction of two Nuclear Electro-magnetic Pulse (NEMP) bombs which were converted into projectile assets to be used against our foes. Over these months, however, they've been sitting in waiting and are more-or-less collecting dust on Juneau. I have devised a plan to make use of at least one of those launchers.

Navigation data supplied by the expeditionary fleet has revealed that there is only one quick entrance to the system of Leeds from Gallia: Tau-31. The only known way in is through the jump gate there, and if disabled would force the Royalists to find another quick way through to the system. If we can disable the gate and use the time to gather enough strength, we could potentially not only clear out the Royal Navy from Magellan, but also pave the way for the retaking of Leeds.

I'm requesting your authorization to undergo this mission, which I will personally lead myself, and take a gunship to disable the gate using our NEMP launcher. The ship is prepped and ready, and merely requires mounting of the armament. Once on, Leeds would be but a quick flight to travel, and the gate would be disabled within the hour of launch.

We need to start making offensive moves against the Crown. It's either that, or we're just going to give them too much leeway, and it's going to bite us in the ass later.
