Logitech is pretty hit and miss in my experience. I've had equipment by them that lasts years, and then equipment that only lasts a few weeks.

When they work, they work well. When they don't, they really don't.

I'd like to say I've had better luck with Razer products but uh... yeah, no. Really poor quality there.

i use logitech products other than the Mouse without replacing for 2 year by now. its the Mouse that i change every year for that or this reason

Logitech M510

I've had three, and every time they've lasted me at least a year, if not more.
Lost the first one
Second one was broken by user error
Third one is still running strong.

Battery life is superb. Two AAs will last you at least six months, a year and a half at the most. It's stupidly good.
Not sure how many extra buttons you need, though. M510's got two thumb, but that's about it.
