Subject: Hull Plating Fabrication

Bombardier Riley here,

I've recently come into possession of an old B-907A Crusader-class Heavy Fighter. Or at least what's left of one after spending decades on a Junker scrap heap. My nephew and I are working on rebuilding it into a functional spacecraft. Most of it is going well enough, but we need to replace the hull plating. The original plating is heavy, but totally inadequate against modern weapons. I don't want to put a Templar's armor on it, either. I'm hoping for something strong enough for a fighter, but considerably lighter than what the BAF chose for the Templar refit program.

I'm sending over the original plating and technical specifications in hopes that you can fabricate something suitable. You can feel free to omit the decorative red overplating. I never cared for it, traditional though it may be.

Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.

Jones here. Looks like I'll be handling this one directly.

Interesting concept. So you want something lighter than the Templar. Easy enough, most things are. We've got some replacement plating in stock already for the Fleet's Falchions, that should suit your needs.

We'll just send the invoice to the Fleet, file it under "experimental retrofitting R&D". Clemens'll like that.

End of message.
