I know I have not been the most communicative to all you members and for that I do apologise, we are on a precipice of a new dawn for Velvet, with new opportunities, new stations and perhaps new enemies. There is a station in Omicron Nu, a system that has seen it's fair share of troublesome occurrences, This station known as Rarotonga does not have a No-Fire-Zone as of yet but I do want to guarantee it's safety. We have to be careful in how we proceed, I know and I have heard of rumblings of Liberty expansionism, manifest destiny to the stars. Well I can say that we shall try to act diplomatically as much as we can, we can't give them any recourse to engage us.

So, be careful and be on guard.

Good Day Velvet
It has been a while since any real contact has been made between, well any of us, and that needs to change, so i will be diverting my attention back to Velvet Operations now that Pygar is well and truly established. Although there is still work to be done, its at the stage now where it does not require my ever watchful eye nor that of my Black Kites.

There are many threats to be found out here in the Omicrons one namely being the Nomads. Although the Core and Order take action against them, their constant state of war between one another will no doubt reduce their effectiveness, and neither one can be relied upon fully to protect us. So we need to make sure we do it ourselves where we can.
I propose to our leadership and our pilots that we mobilise the Black Kite's as a task force specific to dealing with the deeper Omicrons and the Nomads whilst the rest of Velvet continues to provide security and protection for Zoner's and Zoner assets.
Of course i will not take any such action without the support of all members, so for now the Kites will remain on general protection and patrol duties in line with other Velvet assets

As another note for my colleagues in command, there are a number of the larger Zoner factions who make the Omicrons our home, and so i recommend that we open a dialogue with each one and begin relations that can benefit us all, i of course will speak with more detail to you in our secure channels.

Good Day Velvet
As im sure some of you have seen, Phoenix contacted us requesting we lend some muscle in providing security for their station, the Kadesh Orbital Colony, which for reasons unknown at this time, has been moved to Omicron Zeta. Zeta is a still a relatively unknown system but one that boasts alot of Nomad activity.
In response to their request i have assigned Sparrow and Crow Squadrons from the Black Kites and i myself will be flying sorties to Zeta where i can. I'm not clear on what claims the Order or Core have on the system so i will not be moving the Kaldra or the Fearless to Zeta so as to avoid causing any upset.
Depending on how things progress i may contact both sides to request that we be allowed to move some Capitol assets to Kadesh in order to bolster its defences.
