Bonjour, mes amis. It is I, Toshinori Kojirou, dutiful servant of the Restored Empire of Kusari government, and composer of a thousand and fifty poems for many a courtesan all over Sirius.

I write today not to speak about my peerless poetic achievements, but to convey you wonderful news. Our bountiful and blessed land has been afflicted by war with our neighbors, the Federal Republic of Rheinland. Would you not be amazed that they have, at last, requested that we settle for peace! Wonderful news, capital decision! Jolly Good and Le Bon Marché and all those similarly joyous expressions.

That being said, our counterparts in the Rheinland Government have expressed their proposal to arrange the meetings that will bring us peace on neutral grounds, their suggestion being Planet Nevers, in the famous Burgundy system, well within your exalted House. We want with this message of ours to express our concordance to this, and add our own request to the Gallic government to agree to host our meeting, involving the Federal Republic of Rheinland, the Gas Miners Guild, and our very own Reformed Kusari Empire.

I hope that this will be enough to foment your interest in granting our polite request in due time.
