If I remember well, you wanted to hear my story no? And sorry to not be there at the date you mentioned... I needed to go somewhere.
And... you can call me Ella.

Hi, Ella.
To be quite honest, to find some free time is a bit problematic for me as well. It's best if we discuss this over a comm.
So. If my memory serves me right, you mentioned something about a person both you and Isla know. She still hasn't told me... for some reason... So I guess you could.
And about your interactions with the Nomads. As much as I could tell, you're some sort of an... android? AI? Shouldn't you be deaf to them?
Yes, the person in question is Nicole Prower. I think you know her indirectly. It is because of her that today, I know what I am now. To tell the truth, it was Sunday that I retrieved my lost memory… Still all is so confusing.
As you guessed it, I am an android. Some considers me as a cyborg. You are free to use any names. However, my primary function was to eliminate nomads. Before Sunday, my primary function activated itself when a nomad showed up. I was disconnected with reality during that moment until it was destroyed, I did not remember what I did during the action.

Right...
Looks like I'll have to reward Isla for another elaborate prank on me. Sometimes, I feel like she's way smarter than me.
And about your "primary function". It... doesn't sounds as complex as you might think. Or, well, maybe it's because I interact with multiple AIs on daily basis. That said, I don't see anything bad about it? As far as I'm concerned, the fever Nomads loiter around New York, and the fever their numbers are in general, the better.
Sometimes, we have to embrace our inner demons to achieve harmony. I don't know if AIs have inner demons, but I suppose a sub-program that shuts down your whole conscience in order to eliminate a mortal enemy could count as one. Don't be afraid of it, it's a part of you, and from where I'm standing, a very useful one.
