Esteemed representatives,

First of all I'd like to congratulate Detroit Munitions in the successful deployment of Gunpowder Falls. The A-0 alongside other assets of the Fleet have worked hard to keep the base supplied with much needed resources so that your operations may continue without pause.

In light of the relationship between Detroit Munitions and the Forty Sixth Fleet, Command has been in discussions regarding the services Detroit Munitions can provide to us and we've reached an agreement on what can be the Fleet's first order from you, now that Gunpowder Falls is deployed. The order we're placing on your organization is that of nine (9) Battleship Thumper Turrets.

Of course, we are aware that your installation is not currently working at full capacity and will therefore accept logical delays in the building of those turrets. The Forty Sixth Fleet is obviously ready to assist in material transfers that may be necessary for the completion of the project.

We will await for your response.

With utmost respect.

Captain Brown,

Detroit Munitions greatly appreciates the effort put forth by the Akhetaten's personnel and the entire Forty-Sixth in assisting with Gunpowder Falls' deployment. You're correct that we are not yet operating at full capacity, but we hope to finalize the finishing touches on the production line soon. To that end, we're drawing up contracts with some external suppliers to make sure that the job gets done as quickly as possible, though any gaps in logistics may end up being referred to the Forty-Sixth.

As soon as production is feasible, we'd be happy to fabricate the equipment you've requested, and Director Magnusson assures me that it will be a true test of Gunpowder Falls' efficiency and the coordination between our R&D and Production teams. If the Forty-Sixth is amenable, our accountants request that we hold off on the discussion of compensation until the production line at the facility is fully operational, so that a maximally accurate calculation of costs can be achieved. By that point, we intend to nail down a reliable source of particular materials required for efficiently constructing such weaponry at scale, and as such we'll have a properly formalized pricing scheme for future production.

I hope all the above is to your satisfaction, Captain; please do inform me of any concerns. The Company extends its sincere gratitude for your help thus far, and as always, thank you for choosing Detroit Munitions.

Steve Harlan, Undersecretary of Production, Detroit Munitions

Undersecretary Harlan,

The Forty-Sixth Fleet will happily take care of any gaps left by Detroit Munitions' external suppliers. Our Merchant Marine division is more than capable of such a feat and I am certain they'll be willing to see Gunpowder Falls' successful and complete deployment through. As far as cost goes, I trust that your accountants will weigh all the parameters in the equation and come up with a logical sum for the Fleet to pay for your services.

That will be all by me for the time being, Undersecretary, in due time you will receive a transmission by Vice Admiral Uhmen continuing upon this subject. She wishes to speak directly with you regarding matters that are outside my scope of decision-making. She'll be patched through to this channel momentarily.

With utmost respect.

Mister Harlan,

Seeing how I've been already introduced to this channel by Captain Brown, I shall not waste your time by repeating them.

For purposes which you'll understand later down the line, I will inform you that the information I'm about to share with you is highly classified and you are to only speak about it on a need-to-know basis - I hope I can trust you with that task.

Your organization will likely be aware of the existence of Zone-21 and the top-secret Alaska system that lies beyond it. While I am not here to disclose what exactly is within Alaska, it is vaguely within your field to know that one of the more recent projects of Ageira, the infamous super-gate, has been completed and successfully within the borders of the system. The super-gate in question, located in the far end of Alaska, has somehow - I'm in no position nor do I have the technical expertise to explain how - established a direct connection between Liberty and a system outside the Sirius sector, one which our science teams have dubbed Earhart.

Needless to say, the A-0 has spent a substantial amount of time, alone or with the help of others, charting the Earhart system in a number of expeditions that we've made over the past two months. Intelligence on the system has revealed a number of things, some of which I'll elaborate on now.
  • The system is covered with radiation that can be very harmful to snubcraft. Any operation within the Earhart system requires the constant presence and overlook of at least one FOB, not only for command and security reasons but also to serve as a resupplying station for the team's smaller ships.

  • The system's center appears to house an installation of non-human origin. As far as form goes, it appears to consist of a central hub that is surrounded by highly advanced weapons platforms. The pattern the platforms form is a circular one, around the central hub, and they appear to be hostile to anything that comes within their firing range; human or alien. Under no circumstances should any ship stray inside the firing range of those guns, which from experience appears to be a twenty kilometer radius from the central hub.

  • On the outskirts of the system there's structures that very vaguely resemble jump-gates. On the center of each of those structures anomalies can be generated under unknown circumstances. Some of those anomalies lead further inside the maze of unknown systems, while others lead back into Sirius - seemingly dropping ships off to random systems, we haven't been able to find a pattern so far.

  • Deeper and more detailed charting of not only Earhart but also the systems deeper into the maze - dubbed the Uncharted systems by our science teams - have revealed the presence of small pockets of invaluable space-borne materials to be present in each system. While our science teams have not gotten to put those materials to use yet, preliminary scans indicate that they could be processed and refined into more usable forms that are believed to open up pathways to more advanced technology.

The last point of the above marks the reason on why I wished to share this intelligence with Detroit Munitions. Our Intelligence Specialist, Commander Gavin Zimmer, has reason to believe that these materials will be of major value to Gunpowder Falls. The possibilities that processing and refining such materials could lead us to are endless, but we do not own an installation capable of such feat.

With all of the above being said, I can finally get to the point of this transmission.

I wish to offer Detroit Munitions a place in the next expeditions we make out to Earhart.

It is my belief as a citizen of Liberty and a ranking officer of the Navy that our cooperation on this matter is of utmost necessity. Do not worry about the specifics of my request; questions such as how to reach that system complex or what equipment or ships to bring with you - they will be analyzed in the field with the pilots you wish to send with us, should you accept.

In service to the Republic.

Vice-Admiral Uhmen,

I apologize for the considerable delay of my response. The information you've shared with me here is fascinating, concerning, and tantalizing in roughly equivalent measure, as I'm quite sure the discovery of this "Earhart" system was for yourself.

I trust that I need not even explicitly affirm the company's interest in this endeavor given the possibilities it opens up for us and for the entirety of Liberty. Please rest assured that only our most capable and trustworthy employees will be involved with this venture. I understand that this topic is a sensitive matter of national security, to say the least, but it's that same sensitivity which the Board of Directors believes might enable our corporation to advance Liberty's position vis-à-vis military technology and further ensure our Republic's technological supremacy in the decades to come, in line with Mr. Rose's communications with yourself and the rest of the Navy Admiralty several years ago.

I've reached out to Mr. Stafford, the director of our Security Division, and he has expressed an interest in personally accompanying the expedition. Following his direction, I would encourage you to either reply here with a time, date, and mission parameters, or to have one of your subordinates contact one of our own employees in space to arrange for the initiation of this mission.

Mister Harlan,

Speaking of the Security Division, I believe one of the A-0's previous crewmates is a part of this division. Lieutenant Commander Ret. Laurette Silva can certainly prove to be of great help in any operations the Forty-Sixth Fleet will do alongside Detroit Munitions in that field.

Now I unfortunately am unable to provide you - or Director Stafford of the Security Division - with a direct date or time of our next expedition into Earhart. Anything I tell you at this point in time may or may not be accurate, and I shall thus refrain from giving you possibly wrong information. We will remain in touch over this channel or more direct ones regarding when the next expedition is taking place.

Ideally, we'll require Detroit Munitions to provide the freighters and transport ships for such a mission while the Forty-Sixth takes care of the heavy assets required to back up the convoy.

In any case, we shall arrange the specifics in due time.

In service to the Republic.
