SECTION-41
Special Operations Unit Indicium Hastae
//ABOUT//
The initial purpose for Section-41 was to investigate the truth behind the Pulse and to intervene in anyway to ensure that it would not occur again. However, in recent months the SOU (Special Operations Unit) has undergone a transformation. With it's former commander, Major Asher Oldston being promoted to Colonel and moved to the Liberty Navy fleet, an "Agent Winter" a.k.a. "Whisper" was promoted from the LSF personnel pool to assume command as "Agent-in-Charge" instead of "Commander" as Major Oldston had once held. With the assumption of an Agent-in-Charge rather than a ranked official, Section-41 has become an entirely civilian run Operations Unit.
While one of the objectives for Section-41 remains the discovery of the source of the Pulse as well as measures to prevent it from happening again, their SOU has been tasked with alternate and high-risk operations as well as ensuring that Liberty remains secure from all that may threaten her. This includes threats foreign and domestic and within and outside of the AOR that Liberty enjoys.

OOC Notes
First and foremost, I'm posting this to get some feedback for the document. Spending 12 hours a day at work playing firefighter for IT systems tends to be boring when nothing actually breaks, so I had some time to watch some Jack Ryan on Amazon and this idea popped into my head, made for an interesting writing exercise.
My IRL is all jacked up at the best of times right now. I have very little time to play and this is really just something fun to write and see what people think about it--possibly some flying around in-game when I have the free time. Feedback is always welcomed from the community, so long as it is constructive.
The LNS.Leavenworth is only a lore vessel and is not expected to be created for use. If there is someone trustworthy that joins and likes flying capital ships, we may buy a single solitary one for use in RP scenarios only.
Generally the AOR (ZOI) will stay within Liberty and the Omicrons. However, depending on RP and where discussions lead us in RP, we may branch out into other areas. Hopefully this will lead to meaningful RP between players and various organizations.
I look forward to your feedback and thoughts on this document. It's been about a week's worth of work on and off between work tasks so hopefully it came out (somewhat) concise and literate.
Why are you reading this? Don't you have something else you'd rather be doing? Why are you still reading this? Go out and explore, trade, fight, pirate, or even die thanks to SLRC autopilot. You're still here? What do you want, a poem? Fine. Roses are red, violets are blue, I lose the game, and so did you.
On a serious note, always glad to see more small subfactions, especially in regards to intelligence factions. I imagine we'll be running into each other in the field before long.
I honestly hadn't considered the tag similarities. I had wondered where I got the idea for it. Now that I looked at Section 8 documents, I will probably change it to avoid any confusion. Sorry about that!
Thanks for the feedback. Soon as I have more time to play, I look forward to interactions!
