Muchachos During a recent visit to Tripoli Shipyard, a routine stop to service my beloved yacht, La Presidencial, I found myself wandering through the corridors, indulging in a moment of nostalgia. As I made my way toward the old office of Tribune Werss, a place I visit from time to time to reflect on the past, I happened upon your Hangar DTR-4338. It stood out to me, not for its grandeza, but for what it lacked... the ever-present stench of molten plastic and tamales that clings to the air in most of Tripoli’s halls and corridors. But aquí? Nothing. Just silence, dust… forgotten. I took a mental note and kept walking. But now? Now, el destino has given me a purpose for it. A few weeks have passed, and now I find myself in need of a discreet spot for something of grave importancia-cultural. A top-secret, high-end, cinematic masterpiece is in the works: one that will, no doubt, leave its mark on Corsair history. To let this project die? That would be nothing short of a crime against the Corsair people and the Empire itself. Unfortunately, certain bureaucratic obstacles have forced me to keep this endeavor off the Brotherhood’s books... for now. There are delicate intricacies, sensitive materials, and, most importantly, discrepancies that must remain out of the wrong hands. And above all, this must be kept from Elder Alberto Rodriguez. Estimada Señorita Munez First and foremost, let me assure you that for someone as delightful and charming as yourself, I will always make time regardless of the circumstances. Rumors of my death, disappearance, or, Santa Muerte forbid, retirement are nothing but wild exaggerations. An Elder of the Corsair Brotherhood does not retire. We are what we are, hasta la muerte. No matter what Custodi whispers may have spread about that rather significant sum of credits that went... missing from the Council of Elders during my, let’s say, spiritual journey across Sirius. You should have come along! The Kusarians are most polite, the waters of Planet Curacao? A sight to behold. And sneaking through the streets of New Berlin in disguise to sample the local cuisine? Exhilarating. Cariña, I have returned a new man! reborn! revitalized! Now, to business. I am relieved to hear that the aforementioned hangar remains unused because, well… I have taken the liberty of repurposing it for a project of immense cultural importance. It has been transformed into a film studio: the likes of which Crete has never seen. The empire is facing difficult times: our setbacks in Rheinland, the rising costs of doing business thanks to the Order’s meddling with our artifact trade, the unrest in Theta… Our people are growing weary. And weary Corsairs do not fight well, Señorita Munez. We need them proud. We need them furious. We need them ready to spill blood. This is why I have wisely invested certain funds allocated to me by the Council of Elders for food security and hospitals into a new Ministry of Propaganda. A hungry muchacho fights twice as hard, you just have to give him an enemy! For now, I have reassigned some of our finest minds from the Evia Research Complex to piece together a cinematic-moviefilm-trailer from archived combat footage, featuring legendary Corsair warriors (myself included, naturally). In time, we will need better solutions. If, by chance, you happen to come across any talented filmmakers or production crews in places like Liberty or Bretonia, well… they could find themselves honored guests of the Corsair Empire. I will assign some personnel por security, to keep things how you like them, hidden from curioso eyes, and some imagerios por la pelicula. I do know some good film makers from Bretonia, I will "invite" them for a siesta.
