Yup, that sounds like your Sister's doing.

Hah, but seriously, I've heard of problems with lanes where if the mounted guns are shot, they cause crashes to the next person who goes through. But that's lanes, and you sound like you're having this problem all the time.

Perhaps the visual effects of hyperspace are causing problems? Make sure that you have the newest drivers for you GPU, visit nVidia for that. Other than that, you might need to invoke Cannon for help. Shoot him a PM if this thread doesn't pan out.

Is 3d sound on? I understand that is actually the thing that can cause crashes.

In the main menu of Freelancer, go to Options, then Audio and uncheck "3D Sound"

(Thanks to this thread I realised my 3D sound was still turned on. >_>)

blue screen crashes are usually related to system or ram....run a virus scan first

The reports of my trying to imitate the revered Michal Golanski are greatly exaggerated...my avatar should prove this.

If it was a RAM crash, he would have a problem at restarting as well or random tasking, and he would most definetly had problems at installing windows since its one of the best ways to figure ram issues. I guess its 3D sound or driver conflict.

This is the msot likely cause for your crashes, it is wel documented and known. Disabling 3D Sound should solve the matter, but if not report back and we can troubleshoot more.
