Get a regular Junker ID and ship and guns. Junkers are Gallic spys... that's their whle hidden agenda, or didn't you read any of the Gallic lore? And if you equipped any Gallic technology on your Junker Ship you'd be found straight away. That'd be like a spy yelling at eveyone "I'M A SPY!"

They would terrorize council, but as there are never any they would poke at the areas surrounding gallia, mainly give the taus and maybe kusari/bretonia a very hard time, since no council means no one to stop the gallians from harrying its neighbors supplies to allow it supremacy in the coming war.
The whole concept would be a ragged band of the dregs of gallia, junkers who didnt know their place, criminals and others who are avoiding the noose by serving the royalists. They are desperate and will do anything to keep the crown happy enough to keep them alive. They are the walking dead practically. Firstly, the idea that you are Privateers means you are sanctioned by the Gonvernment. That means you would be attacking the Council only because Gallia has not declared war on any factions in Sirius. Privateers don't get to decide what targets they get to attack, it gets decided for them, and sending Privateers to attack the trade of other Houses is an act of war. The last thing the Gallic Royal Navy needs is retaliation of either Bretonia, Kusari, or both while they are still fighting the Council.
Secondly, the civil war between the Council and the GRN exists because the GRN are isolationalists. They don't want anyone to leave Gallia. So why are they going to issue a letter of marquis that allows you to do that? It makes no sense what so ever. The Council are the ones who opened the hole to Sirius, they're the ones who want to see the outside.

With limited events allowing ships to leave (with the stipulation of no overpowered weaponry) you allow for Gallia to be a bit more out there to the general populace. Maybe it would make it less dead who knows? But as of now there is no point for it really to exist which is really sad....
This is why im pushing for some interaction and before the next patch. You think if you leave Gallia like this for a year or half year its gonna be fine when its eventaully opened up? I doubt it probably get a brief spike but forever remain dead. There should be no reason for Gallia to be this dead and cut off. Give her some interraction by not stifeling the players trying to bring some rp there by making them sanction bait!
Yes and no. As its been said, several RP Factors cause Gallic ships to not leave Gallia.
1. Gallic Royals are building up to launch an invasion of Sirius. They use Junkers for spies so no need for forward scouts
2. Council are fighting to blockade Languedoc, the only entrance to Sirius known by the Royals. If anything, they would first allow curious strangers to come to Reunion base, and after some talks and negotiations, would they in very... very.... small numbers (say no more than 3-4... Negotiator/Diplomatic Ambassador + Escorts) and absolutely no capital ships, unless it was a dedicated Diplomatic ship.
3. Brigands, from the infocard: "While the Gallic Brigands avoid political struggle and have no sympathy for the ideals of the Council" They wouldn't care one bit to leave Gallia to interact with Sirians.
4. Unione Corse, similar statements as above are located in News Bulletins.
5. Maquis give their full support to the Council. (see Council in Point 2)
6. Gallic Corps are publicly pro-isolationists to keep on good terms with Gallic Royals. Enough Said

First maybe it is a whine, but Really? I have read the story and there are definetly ways of getting stuff out of there and it would open up rp that it really lacks. Also I have been up in Gallia quite a bit. Only twice has there ever been anyone else there that were rpers and not just people looking around, so say what you will but I have been in Gallia almost everyother day I play since I joined this game.
Whatever last post, I just feel that there is so much potential and its rotting up there.
For spam content: You posted quite a bit after that final post.
For real content: I've been in Gallia.... I RP in Gallia. And my story is opposite to yours. Theres been very few times where i would log in to find nothing to RP on.

We have worked out deals and interacted with the neighbouring forces in Sirius (With much flak coming our way, even when we stated we didn't speak for the entirety of the Council). We have our own RP developed and hopefully more to come but it just seems that the players in Gallia are being given a really tasty sweet and then told they can't eat it.
Admiral Jean de Vienne do you really want that Southern Council transfer or do you plan to stay with the Northern Council division?

Do tell, except for the "Gallic Sirian" Combination.... Excluding the terrorism, etc....
As I stated in http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=43753 i have a Gallic Bounty Hunter and would like to expand it into a player faction.
This is what I go by on Marcel, and what I would go by if it did come to pass as a faction Gallic Bounty Hutners on Google Docs

See above, also that kind of RP isnt to happen until 4.86 i believe.
' Wrote:A lot of people feel completely stiffled by the restrictions on gallia and steer clear of it. I know I have tried to get stuff going for it but everyone is scared off. I know a few people in that had full set up brigand or grn characters that they deleted soon after, its rather sobering if you think about it.
Maybe people would acctually mess with it if they didnt have a guillotine hanging over their head?
Whats wrong with Guillotines? The restrictions are in place with good reason... Cause its no secret that people would just love to get a GRN BS and go on a whorefest to blow up more stuff than the other person.
