Dreygon currently has a unique ship and supposedly Zapp will do as well for the next mod (although I have my doubts about it - maybe I just missed the bit where Igiss said yes?), but the major point is the RP the two of them are following has almost universal recognizability in the community (as Mon'Star and the Tundra) and have existed for a long long time (Mon'Star more so than the Tundra, but that's not the point).
Aki is fairly well known, but I'm guessing more from the winge storm that was kicked up when the main events regarding her story line happened. Somehow I doubt Aki's going to be getting an alien cruiser built by an unknown specie added for .86.
At this point if I have to go with any ship that's likely to be put into 4.86, it will still be the corvo. It has a sleek look to it and could be RP'd well enough as an alien ship.
Still, maybe my own model will get to the point where I can add it.
I like the idea... Never fitted in my perspective to have only these systems and none else around. If Humans managed to develop technology so advanced there had to be somebody else able to do it. Nomads are OK, but what bout other possible races? I mean, we developed near-to-Star Trek RP here, yet we have only Humans, Nomads and AI as separate races. Makes no sense to me and you have my full support to develop this further.
Sirius starts to make me feel sort of claustrophobic...
' Wrote:Just a point, but Sirius is a galaxy. If there's massive alien wars going on in this galaxy, then they're doing a very good job of not being particularly noticeable. I take it this is an intergalactic war?
Nope, Sirius is a sector, a part of a galaxy (I wonder what it's name is? Maybe we could do some brainstorming on geography some time). Gallia is another sector, for example.
I like the idea of your RP. I really think there should be more..."campaigns" going on, to give you the feel that there's something larger going on here. I really hope you get some more people to join you on your idea here so you can actually take it ingame on a large scale. If you need some help with this, shout, and I'd also like to extend Jimmy's offer to my [1st] characters as well:).
Oh, and one final thing. Be careful about your aliens. Very careful. DiscoFL is awesome because it's very human-centric, and the only real aliens so far, the Slomon K'Hara aka Nomads, are very unique and..."different". They feel completely unusual and alien. I don't ask you to do the same for your counter-C'Tan, especially if they only act in a "employer" role just like their enemies, but - make them as unique as possible. Don't let Disco become like any other cheap or not-so-cheap Sci-Fi flick were there is some weird-looking alien dude at every second corner.
