Maby we should drop it I don't think we are going to get an answer as to what problem it caused. (well I hope I am wrong but we are on to the fourth page and no answer)

I've been mildly miffed by one-shot weapons since their implementation, oh so long ago. I remember the days when fights were a matter of who could aim better, rather than who could aim a single shot. - Virus

If a setting could be found that applies to all ships, some or all of the problems might be overcome.

A setting that allows all ships to turn at normal rate would at least prevent many of the "uncontrollable spinning" problems in capships. Any kind of turn rate damping is better than nothing.
