Im a super noob at modeling, but Ive found when you want to make the texture look less stretched and make things fit where you want. Go into the 'texture co-ordinate editor' or Ctrl+T in milkshape (I THINK! :unsure:)
Then, on the multi select box thingy, select the object that you have selected. It must be selected I think. Then, scale, move, and whatever to make it look nice.
