There is one reason why i don't believe in the 'civillian weapons should be rubbish argument'. It is mainly because one civillian weapon is used by almost all factions (with the exception of the corsairs) The debilitator guns. Yes they may be shield busters, but if they are good enough to be used universally by all militaries i believe that saying all civillian hull busters should be rubbish is quite... strange.

That last plasma you suggested would be a great weapon, Honest.

Before someone cry's that its better than a hammer, it actually has quite a bit more drain than a hammer.

We use Hammers in Ageira. The problem is that they are only sold in LN, LSF, LPI guard system, so it's a pain to get them.

As you mention, Hammers are great. In fact the most power-efficient level 9 guns.

They are no longer an exception. Corsairs can use civilian tech just the same as everyone else.

For prevent peeps using generic stuff above factionalized civi tech must be weaker.

that last line of yours truly state what we all have seen here. Enforce faction RP, make sure ooFRP dont occur, but honestly, an Liberty Navy pilot with civvy plasma tech... he would be bullied like hell by his bosses, thus adding some intresting "personal" level roleplay too.... mockery that your unpatriotistic, too poor to buy the "real deal"....id say, make civvy tech a notch weaker, but still strong enough to stay as a "acceptable" second alternative

Not all factions are like, lets say corsairs who in rp lore chose their own tech above any else. For example IMG, I doubt they have strict policies about weapons.

And ofc, civi tech should be decent, I never said otherwise.

Also plasma can't be 700 speed neither range, 650 at most. In vanilla all plasma guns are 550 ~ 600 speed.

(and you shouldn't compare rest of the guns with krakens to show their weaknesses, rather choose Honorvipers, Dizinfectors and similiar)

the 700 range/speed issue was added with a "secondary" soltuion... using "razor technology" meaning, tachyone accelerated projectiles (like razors).... increases range and speed, uses more energy. Plasma ensures big hull damage and an moderate drain... resulting in medium high drain, medium to high damage, 700speed/range and lower refire rate (3.03/4.0)
