So I've just gone back home and I need to reinstall freelancer on my home computer. It is running a fresh install of Windows 7. When I double-click on setup.exe in the freelancer disk, it gives me the "do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?" dialog box. Then when I press "yes", setup.exe starts for about a second (I see in it task manager) then it disappears, and nothing else happens.
Anyone know of what might cause this problem? I've tried running setup in compatibility mode already, no luck.
You are installing from Disc or from Image? If it is old disc then may be the disc is with some scars etc. Just clean the disc with ultrasonic cleaner or with some tooth paste(without abrasive parts in it). If you can browse the disc then may be the problem is in your windows. I run 7 and have never any problems with it. If your disc is brocken, PM me I will explain more on PM.
