Until the UKMG contact the correct authorities to negotiate their rights in Dresden, the RM should not consider them to be under their protection.
They'll have to defend their mining ships from criminals (including entrepeneurial Privateers with a dislike for the IMG...) and Daumann ships that are angry at them using their fields with the UKMG only using their own fighters and gunboats for this task but nothing larger for risking of being considered an invading force by the RM.
Exactly what I was thinking, Blunt. Particularly since Vogtland, a Hessian base, is also in Dresden...they might soon find some incentive to get "legal" with the RM.;)
Alright. What we have here is a bunch of miners who think they can take the Fatherland's profits from under our noses? Was Daumann notified? I want Emmerich Bergmann, director of Daumann operations, to be notified of this immediately, if he's not already been sent word.
I applaud our officers for doing only what they are taught. A vessel with no identification should be considered suspicious if not outright dangerous. I care not whether there's a backlash from this 'mining' group. If there has been no agreement signed with our corporations, then I will consider their mining of our fields as outright theft.

A vessel with no identification will be placed under surveillance while in our space until it's been proven that said ship is not a threat. I understand that such a vessel was mining in -our- asteroid fields and it happened to hold your name.
I want confirmation that you have obtained mining rights from Emmerich Bergmann, director of Daumann's Dresden Diamond Field Operations. You have 36 hours to respond. If found that you do -not- have permission to mine our fields, then you and yours will be sued for infringing upon Daumann's mining rights. If you do not comply, you will be escorted out of Rheinland. If you further refuse to comply, you will be considered enemies of the state and you will be shot on sight when entering Rheinland space. The choice is yours.
Rheinland is RM's jurisdiction and we will uphold our laws throughtout our great space. My men will not harrass you; however, they will do their job.

Your response is not one I was expecting to get. If you sell so much niobium then why, in the name of the chancellor, are you STEALING our diamonds? You were found, in our fields with fighter escorts, mining in a field that did not belong to you. Now you tell me how that is not theft. I'm sure you'd take offense to someone stealing your profits that, in essence, feed your hungry wives and children. You are a hypocrite. Those diamonds are food for our children. Unless you have mining rights in those fields, you are stealing from the citizens of Rheinland.
We will find a new supplier of niobium until you can find a new source of diamonds. I'll be in contact with our major trading companies, namely RepEx and Luthor Corporation. I assure you, I will not allow my people to suffer. Make it so yours won't either.

This is UKMG Tsunami representing the UKMG on this topic, due to some complaints that have been fowarded in my direction, i feel obliged to cure some peoples headaches and take a little stress of the situation.
I, Admiral Tsunami would like to place in a very formal apology to those within the Rheinland Military. I take full responsibility for the actions taken by the UKMG during the Diamond that had taken place, and I'm willing to stand before your courts of law for my punishment.
The theft of your diamonds by my train in Rheinland Space was of concequence to myself following a direct order, but one which i should have dismissed. Despite the theft of your diamonds, the ID'less wingman of mine should have been sorted on the spot, but the order's by your military were ignored by my commanding officer, and i had no choice but to carry on.
Once again, I apologise on behalf of the UKMG, and will take the punishment put before me by [RM]

I apologize but I couldn't help but overhear the comm chatter here. I want to assure all involved that transporting Niobium here to Rheinland is no monumental task for RepEx. We prefer to be Rheinland's number 1 exporter, but I assure you it is no problem for us to divert some of our resources towards importing Niobium. I also make this solemn promise, if the RM decides to cut off your access to our beloved space, RepEx has the manpower within it's security department to uphold those restrictions.

Your admission is one of guilt. I do, however, appreciate the kinder tone of your transmission compared to that of your superior. The UKMG is being investigated as to how long you've been taking diamonds from under our noses. You are also being sued for infringing upon Daumann's mining rights and for any profit garnered from the diamonds mined.
All trade with your organization will cease as of today. Your vessels will be turned away from our docking ports, so i'd advise you not even try. There will be no more need of your niobium until this little mess is sorted out. Our court systems are little backed up at the moment so it might be a while before you come before our courts on Planet New Berlin. Until that day, any UKMG vessel that enters Rheinland space will power down their weapons systems and be escorted by a wing of RM wraths.
