Need help with cap missions

So how are you supposed to do those cap missions in Omicron Elta?

I tried everything I can think of, with gunboats, cruisers, battleships, bombers.


If you make a single mistake on bomber you will get almost one shot. Gunboat simply doesn't stand a chance. I even tried to do them with Outcast dread (armor 6), and flew home with 1% hp left on my ship.

You need to have right loadout, good armor upgrade and skills.

If you do ossie missions get proper loadout- 4 pulses and 2 motars 2 missiles will do it perfect - the rest is not so important.
Keep at max possible range that mission allows you spam pulses till the shield goes down then double motar the ossie- it is easy- repeat with the next they stay close to each other in pack.
if you start to take much dmg cruise out you got 4o sec to go back in your shield will recharge meanwhile. Every time you stop 5k away and wait to recharge the bs core before you go in- if there are fighters then double missile can kill 10 of them if shot with the right timing, combine this with some decent cap armour bots and bats and you will be good to go in this missions. I would use dread because it has more energy and you will need it in order to shoot pulses/motars.
If Eta is hard for you sell the OC ship and buy corsair dread with full basics and motar-do anti BHG dessie misisons in Gamma.

You need skill my friend. And a battle-cry. Don't forget the battle-cry.

Pft. I go in there and kill with 1 HM, Primaries, Secondaries, AND solarises.

if you have 3 or 4 osiris in mission, go to right side of NPC caps.

They will attack to own ships:))

Get the osirises shield down and shoot them with a heavy mortar, that's an insta kill. Use pulses for the long range takedown of shields.

I use 10 OC primary. Not bad at all.
However the missions on crete are good. I died once in my legate when on my second waypoint i found i have kill fighters and got reinforcement as 12 ossies. And i was killed by my own reinforcements!!!!
Other than that gamma is fine.
