Hi I got two questions:

1.) I got a salvager on a Junker ID and a Junker Guard IFF and tried mining Trafalgar for scrap metal today. Did it in several different spots (with a mining laser turret), but it took like forever. I gave up after having mined just 30(!) units - is there no bonus or what (perhaps due to my IFF being Junker Guard) or is it supposed to be this slow?

2.) Saw some bomber Hellfire Rocket Guns (or cannons - can't remember exactly) at a Rogue station, and they looked like a lot of fun. So who can use them? Is it strict Hellfire-only or can for instance Rogues use them, as they are sold at Rogue bases in Cassini? If not do other factions have something similar?

I can't answer the mining question since I don't mine. However, Hellfire Rocket Guns are generic, not Hellfire Legion-specific.

Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams
Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction
Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid
Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space
Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits

Liberty and Nomad Backstory, Very interesting - read it!

Yeah, Hellfire rockets are for anybody to use, it seems.

As for the mining, have you checked this thread? I glanced over the parts about Junkers and scrap mining, didn't really see anything that could help you. Maybe it's the IFF, or maybe the field had been mined out already (though I doubt that). If you can't find the answer in there, try posting your question in that thread.

Whose idea was it to pick Hellfire as the name for those guns?
It's practically begging for these sorts of threads.

Characters
Alan Markson: The Hellfire Legion's Lord Commander
The Perihelion: Freeport Four's guardian, and yet much more. Missing and assumed Lost with all hands.
Eric Dresmund: Junker, smuggler, thief. Last seen drunk on Beaumont
Vayrn Wyard: IMG Recon pilot turned Neo-Terran Captain. Last location unknown

Yeah better safe than sorry, especially when the Wiki isn't all done yet. Anyways got the Hellfires now and have to try them out. In relation to the mining I'd better ask someone when I see them scrapping in-game. Something about premium ore as well. Thanks for the help.

How close were you to the base? You have to be something like 20k away from the base in order to get drops--can't have people mining in relative safety:)

I was sitting right on the edge towards southampton. I'm pretty sure I have seen junkers scrap around there long ago. Also tried some spots closer to Trafalgar.

It was probably named after the much-more-famous Hellfire Missile of real life. Then again, I suppose it could be just to talk about just how awesome the Hellfire Legion is.

Yeah, no kidding. The drops around Trafalgar aren't that high anymore. You should try around Rochester instead or Texas.
Burgundy also has Scrap Metal deposits close to bases like Dijon.

Junker guard IFF does not get a mining bonus, correct. Switch to the Junker IFF and Junker ID. No guard factions get mining bonuses. Also: Southampton is a solid field (except for the small premium scrap zone). Drops across the field are equal.

These are generic bomber weapons not affiliated with the Hellfire Legion at all. Anyone can use them.
