I'm going to be the party pooper. Sherlock Holmes always looked cool investigating crimes and chilling out with a pipe (of whom Jeremy Brett was the definitive Sherlock Holmes in my opinion), but generally its a bad habit that is best not done around others (unless they also smoke) and does nothing for your health:POh and is quite expensive *lol*

That said, there are quite a lot of pipes that are pretty cool looking, and smoking with a pipe looks way better than just sitting there smoking with a ciggy between your fingers and a mass manufactured, chemical soaked pack of twenty.
