After several hours of catching up and getting acquainted,
el Presidente sits up straight and talks in a more serious tone:
''I have a question to you señorita.
It came under my attention that your Gunboats are very economical.
They use little H-fuel and with the current H-fuel prices are the perfect vessels for long range exploration as well as axillary fire support in large scale combat operations.
We would like to have two of these , for a reasonable compensation.
Now what would you like in return for this?''
"In return for two of our claymores?" Annora purses her lips. "To be honest, Elder, I don't feel as though we're in much of a place to ask for anything from you—we are very much at your mercy. You have the combined strength of the Corsair Empire behind you, and we have very little in comparison.
She takes a sip of her wine. "However, there are a couple of things that I could ask of you. We have gone too long without any degree of alliance, in my opinion, so I would like to bring this to the table again. While we have little strength to offer throughout Sirius, we would be more than happy to collaborate with you in Bretonia…we would assist you in any ventures there that you may see fit. I know we have a mutual enemy there, the Mollys, and we would be more than happy to fight alongside you, against them.
She smiles faintly. "In exchange for the claymores, it seems only fair that I might ask for one of your own gunboats. The imperator is far better suited to fighting fighters and other gunboats than our claymores, after all. We would only need one for the Underloch—that seems like more than a fair trade."
While listening to the underloch's wishes,
Buonocore nods and pours in some more wine.
''Si, this seems a good deal señorita.
I will inform Rhodes Shipyard,
the Gunboat will be heading for Bretonia within a month.
Too much talk for now , eat , enjoy and feel at home.''
Servants enter the room holding huge plates with grilled meat on them.
As the Gaians raise eyebrows Buonocore grins and asks
"Now don't tell me you two are vegetarians."
