So do I. And I was just kidding, I joined the MNS to get revenge on CR and stuff. And to disband them. Maybe. Bro.
I doubt the Kronos will be raised anywhere higher than the stats the Ranseur has.

Well, if you read carefully, proposition was to make it an incredibly slow and very well armored (not armed) brick, to fit the model, size and infocard, while retaining it's current Medium powercore and Medium amount of turrets (but slightly adjust lvl8 bottom arcs). So while it, theoretically, can have higher amount of hull then Rans, it'd lack the firepower (and agility)
Also, such hybrid would fit CR shipline quite well - Thanatos is already what can be considered a "hybrid" - light cruiser shape, medium cruiser powercore and armor, , heavy cruiser amount of heavy turrets (but not total firepower, due to turret arcs) and superheavy cruiser maneuverability (i.e. slowest cruiser in game).
Vit, it already is a hybrid, in the same way that the Sarissa is. You know, pretty big ('heavy' big), not that much armor on it, medium firepower and stuff.
What you're proposing would mean it can go face to face with the Ranseur, and to some extent maybe even the Valor, two ships that it was not meant to face alone ever since the model was finished.

Well, while, originally, it didn't have to do much with actual balance, but then I have just 2 questions left:
1) I am correct that it's knowingly has been made the way that it doesn't stand a chance against it's main adversaries in 1.5vs1.5 battles (2 battleships and 2 cders) - nor in frontal assault like same class would do, nor in run&kite scenario like a light class? (against Valor - especially)
2) If yes, then why Kronos is the only battleship in the mod that received such treatment from Balance team?
(here I'm mainly making comparsion with another not-too-inRP-battleship-capable faction like Hessians, that would be a relatively close alternative to CR in terms of it's size, as I heard, but way less technologically advanced. Their Jorm got a good size/agility, and will easily beat a RMBS from 1.7-2k away, in right hands.)
The ship was made to fit our tactics. Because we rarely faced single enemies, a Kronos would never go into battle without at least a Thannie or a couple of bombers by its side. This is something we did with Zephyrs as well, so obviously, they gave us a ship that fitted our tactics, with stats that fit our position as a 'not-nearly-as-powerful' as the Outcast/GRN force.
It's not such a bad ship man. It's just not being used for the tactics it was made for.
Hmm, okay. But there're few points I'd like to mention.
First, the tactics you're describing, are basically - weaken or outnumber the enemy to the point where our UP battleships will be able to deal with him without suffering losses. That is nothing special and can and is being used by everyone, but any other battleship in the mod can also fight without using those, in various situations (edit: Except for LAC, I'd say). For example light battleships - vs. heavies on high distance, heavies - vs. lights on close distance.
Second point is parallel you drew with Zephyr. Well, I'll draw another parallel here. As I remember, Zephyr and Mako were on same level and had very similiar performance in battle, in 4.85. And also they were, objectively, weakest (in all terms, i.e. - just worst) battleships in the mod. They still could do something, but nothing compared to their adversaries.
Now Mako has been changed. It's very, very weak battleship in Fleet Fire Support role, due to low amount of 8's and requirement to mount anti-capital weaponry on Heavy slots to be effective, but it's a real Heavy-bs killer. I dare to say - in the Togo league. Ranseurs and Legates stand no chance at a 2k distance, same for heavier ships. And it's one of 3 lightest battleships in the mod, at same time. (Togo, Mako, Osiris)
The Kronos... Kronos just bears the legacy of Zephyr and even emphasizes it, as one of the worst. No armor to tank, no size/strafe to kite.
Yes, it still can do something. But if you drop RMBS armor from 1.4kk to 1.0kk, and it's b/b from 2k to 1.7k, it will also still be able to do something (i'd even say - alot) and attack an enemy weakened by cruisers/bombers. Hell, it'd still be able to stand up to Legate, Jorm and LD, on close distance. But that doesn't mean that RMBS should have it's armor/bots reduced to aforementioned amounts, right?
Thanks for answering. Guess, no questions left, until Dev/Balance team decides that something can be changed. Imho, very heavy armor, very poor agility and current powercore/gun stats (with previously mentioned slight adjustments to bottom 8's) would make Kronos feel just right.
Yes, but personally I think bringing it closer to the Ranseur stat-wise as opposed to what Vit proposed would work better. Heavy-ness was never 'our thing'.
