She rose her own glass in Lea's direction and drank it.
After Lea's question she flinched a bit before she realized she was talking about her new hair.
"Well I was thinking about a change of style for quite some time and now I just felt like it..."
Lachina went to pour herself another glass.
"And it can also manifest a certain life transition, I guess"
She stretched on the couch before sipping from the glass.
"It's been ages since I had a blond hair. Probably since university."
Lea looked at her glass still uncertain. "A life transition?" She asked, finally drinking from her glass.
The alcohol rushed to her brain way too quickly. This booze was either from hell or she was just not really in the mood to drink, because she immediatly felt dizzy.
"Why would you transi- transishin... your life?"
She was afraid of herself as she lost control over her tongue already. What was this drink?
"I haven't eaten... in a while." Lea said, looking down on herself as if to check if everything was in the right place. "And I did never drink absinth before."
She began to sweat. "You... wanna leave my sister behind us?" she asked with confusion in her voice.
"I want us to argue constantly because of your sister that ain't worth all the pain she creates in between us. " Lach could feel the alcohol slightly too now.
"I think this is a final glass for both of us." She raised the glass to toast, "On us!" she lowered it down and sipped from it.
She nods. "I can... under... sta-. Whaaaa is this?" She tries to drink from her glass again, but drops it after the first sip. The glass shatters on the floor and she falls onto the couch, now absolutely faint.
Lachina darted after her making sure she doesn't hurt herself. She puts her in a cargo crate and moves her towards her ship. When they are both inside The Cage she closed the cargo bay and took her body out of the crate again.
Lea was a bit heavier than she expected but she could handle her. She brought her inside a bathroom and put her on a chair. Lach took a bowl with a hair color and put it on Lea's hair. After about half an hour she was done and Lea now belonged to "the redhead club", replacing her regular color, She let it dry and then took her body gently and brought her in a room she had prepared for her inside the ship and shortly after that she headed in a pilot cabin and started the engines. Few moments later undocking from Boa Vista, she headed towards the 'verse.
Lea was still angry. Even though she calmed she still felt that something in her relationship to Lach broke. She tried to say herself that Lach thought it would be a good idea, but... taking Lea away from all she established, her life, her work, hell her first friends kind of wasn't the thing she considered a good idea. She could be thrown out or killed if she ever got back to 52.
The first two days they spend just arguing around and shouting at eachother, but Lach wouldn't let her go. Now that Lea somewhat accepted her fate they were approaching Gaia and she was actually a bit curious
Lach did not know what to say. It all just happened so fast. She did not know what to think about it. Did it change something between them? Or was it just one-time on Gaia... "part of their tour" around Sirius. She stood up in the night and went on the end of the meadow to the border of the wood. She lit up a cigarette. She was afraid of the morning. What will Lea say and think. Will she be angry or happy. She listened to the sounds of the wood. She loved this planet. She missed her time here. Surprisingly the war with Galia helped this planet. Those Planetform cretins were actually forced to leave this place and now the planet was back to it's own. She finished the cigarette and put the butt in a small box.
She watched and listened to the forest for a bit and then returned back and snuggled to Lea's body, falling asleep shortly.
Lea stood in the cockpit of the little transport that would fly her home. She was alone. The exhaustion she felt was only to be overcome by the feeling of deep despair. Everything was over. Everything. Everytime Lea tried to forget what happend a few days ago, the images and all the great sensations kept collapsing on her again. She would have to scrap the transport once she reached '52 again. Too much reminded her of Lach and all the mistakes she made.
Deep in her head, she knew that she was not better than her sister. Doing things just for fun and own pleasure, not wasting a single thought how others could feel about it.
She felt guilty, sorry and in a strange way she missed Lach.
Even if they both said Gaias 'magic' would wear off after she left, she still felt something... Something she again couldn't describe.
The transport flew on and she hoped that it would be fast enough to escape these memories.
