I understand that learning some foreign lenguage is not easy.
I wonder how native english players would perform in some lenguage that they don't know.
I'm here almoast one year now and I'm still bad with english and especialy with spelling.
You know it is not easy if I use english only while playing this game.

I think the best approach would be whit educational sanctions.
Stripping guns or some eqipement is not good sanction for this problem.
Better way to get this problem solved would be to tell this person to write I dunno ten or twenty sentences in english lenguage.
Next time they will perform better, or sanction them with thirty sentences.

You tried roleplaying with a newb who has not read the server rules, nor understood that he is on a roleplay server. Nothing bad about that. I've always been glad when meeting a new potential forum members, and happily explained him how to become one.

Though, I do not get it why you tried roleplaying after all.

The same reason why people, after seeing that their partner does not know the concept of RP, keep RPing and calling them autistic IRP, or nomad infested or whatever, to make themselves feel good and further punish and alienate the player.

Sure you are right, I have nothing against it, but since I wasnt on my Angel char I couldnt start to explain the rules for him. In these kind of situations I usually send them a message after the encounter with the url of the forum. Thats all what I can do for them while being ingame with a character like that.

There is no rp interaction going on at that moment and I would not define the interaction as " in rp" when the one side clearly has no clue about what is going on and is talking entirely on the oorp level.

I would always put a "cut" to the rp, clarify the oorp problem, then try to restart the rp.

Angel-char or not does not matter at all.
Furthermore, giving a link after the blue message does not help. You created the feeling of abuse and rule-break. Do you really think the hurt player will listen to advice from the one who he feels abused by?

A quick, concise explanation is necessary to take the player's feeling of "I am being abused!" away. Giving a link to crosscheck your quick explanation is a good idea. Doing it in green message also keeps it perfectly clean, rulewise... but no one would even care if you explained the rules to a newbie in local with no one around.

Honestly, I find it weird if people do not switch from "rp"-mode into "oorp help"-mode in such a situation, which very obviously demands for oorp clarification instead of "irp consequence".

Well, I need to refuse this. I keep roleplaying because in my opinion, that is the best to teach others on a roleplay server what to do. I dont want to talk oorp in system or local channel because the other one doing it. I'm here to enjoy my time and to roleplay, not to adapt others mistakes.

As you could see, I told him via private channel to check my ID. I think thats more than enough for anybody to understand the situation.

First of all, its a roleplay server, so I dont think that I'm the one who made a mistake in this situation. If somebody joining into this server, he need to follow the rules here, and rules clearly show what we need to do, while playing here.

As I said before, I didnt cut my roleplay, because I think the best option to teach others when I show a good example for them.

Btw, he wasnt a newbie, since he was experienced enough to use the // and to ask about the IFF/ID. He had a battletransport and he could speak in english. I think these are more than enough reasons for me to not start talk in oorp and tell him everything about roleplaying.

About the message/link. I didnt kill him and usually I dont kill others just for my fun when I see, they are new ones. A lot of times I was the one who killed by them, because they just starting to shoot on me while I'm typing something.

Anyway, I dont think that the best what I can do, is to start to act like them. When I'm on a pirate char, I'm playing as a pirate and I would like to roleplay that, not a teacher. Thats why I told you about the Angel char. Sure, I'm a teacher when I'm on that character, but when I'm not, I'm here to enjoy the game.

Calling someone who is poor at rp autistic I personally find highly insutling - autism is a variable condition. I have autism and can rp fine. Autism is more correctly referred to as an autistic spectrum disorder. I get really irritated by this sort of thing.

I was too angry about it to explain properly when I last posted now that I'm a little calmer I'll try to explain. I find it offensive because often people act like autistic people should be hidden away and or treat them as an idiot then of you manage to prove you aren't then a lot of the time you seem to get treated as a performing seal that's done a good trick. Then there's the well meaning people who seem to think its a disease which it isn't. If you spend enough time going through this it gets offensive fast.


Edit: I accept not everyone does this intentionally but that doesn't stop it being true.
