Seriously, even if and I say IF we'd stay in Primus, there's no way a primitive Monkey species like that can fight the Alpha code Tongue. I don't see any logic in pretending to start a rebellion of a left over monkey race whatever. It's like, currently the AIs are building up, finaly more and more potentials are rising and you just want to come in with your Monkey story to disturb this process? <- It will never happen anyway, just pointing it out if you think about that. Big Grin Look I have nothing against your faction proposal, in the end, its your faction, I'm respecting it however. Starlancer referrences was simply asked many times, people liked it also remembered it as its the beginning from Freelancer vanilla, so many referrences. The Monkeys were just easter eggs, yes AIs were easter eggs too however they have potential. Artificial Intelligences are a generic term and idea in Freelancer, like AIs in Ship systems, auto targetting and dunno where ever else, however monkeys? I don't see any sense in bringing them back, I'm sorry to disappoint. The AIs as in Robots were actually even there without the easter eggs, look at certain parts and facilities inside planets on Freelancer, there are Robots moving around and working, robots and humans.

Thank you, but its left me even more utterly confused. How is Primus not an option as the Monkeys originate from there ? Have you got any suggestions where they can settle then ?

Edit: Is it not possible to have 2 Docking rings and have it planet shared like Planet Leeds or many Gallic Planets ? (Unless the AI disapproves of this idea)

That's what happened to that Planet of the Apes vanilla easter egg, and that means long as the official lore is concerned, monkeys didn't die, disappear or do anything - they simply never existed. I understand this might sound harsh, especially seeing the time, effort and enthusiasm you had put in this concept, however, while nothing's stopping you from giving your idea a go, you can't expect it to be accepted as part of the official lore from the get-go, because as things currently stand, your idea is considered non-canon.

Also, as you may or may not know, there were various attempts at both AI and Monkey factions and neither you nor the Consensus are the firsts to try these concepts, and while AI lore proved to be one largely expandable, the Monkey groups didn't really have a considerable impact on the lore and gameplay of the region, and were often not taken seriously by other players for obvious reasons, so during the development of 4.87 it was decided to bid farewell to that vanilla easter egg and let it rest in peace, while giving that planet to a similar faction which started as an easter egg as well but through the years, and based on the roleplay of multiple groups running that ID, managed to progress and expand to the same level as a standard faction.

You're free to give this idea a try on the server in form of a non-vanilla faction with a background of your own written from ground up and with no actual lore in the game to back you up, and once and if your faction proves itself you can file a request for appropriate adjustments in the actual mod (which even then would be rather unlikely to happen), but expecting instant dev support while the idea's nothing but a concept, and an unorthodox one at that, is rather unreasonable and focusing on it would only be a waste of your own good efforts.

P.S: Creating a new IFF is a lot harder than you think, so "just adding a Monkey IFF" is not an option. At least not for the time being.
