How about we try giving the gun not negative damage
but to trigger the nanobot effect
using up nanobots of the shooter yet repairing the vessel in need. since nanobots work through an entirely different piece of code, it should be possible

~No matter where you crash, no matter what ship you have. If your stranded, i'll come and salvage as much of your ship for free, and maybe if theres cargospace left.... I might even take your escape pod with me~
repair gun what ever is it or what ever class it should me mounted only on repair ship.. we don't need classes if we make those repair ships and their guns use bots and bats as ammo and they fix target and when target us full .. then nothing.. just like when you want to use bots/bats on your own ship when full

Few notes, A forward gun, is merely a Non-Turret weapon on a Capital ship.
So lets say you make a "Forward Gun" thats class 10 for a certain ship to use and it uses enough power that only that ship can use.
That ship, has 6 of these slots for this "Forward Gun" and a powerplant to cover the consistant, or partial usage of these "Forward guns" that have insanely high energy demands.
The player using that ship, however... decides to use a separate Class 10 Gun and, should he/she choose to use the money to get the equipment, equips those 6 slots with 6 Cruiser Forward Guns.
Said player could then chain-fire, with no energy drain, a gun doing 180,000 damage X6 every 4 seconds.
On the thought of "Weapon Classes" does anyone think we're -really- limited to 1-10? Or has anyone tried using Class 0, Class 11? and so on
repair ships are not used that much and concerning that, i see no reason to upgrade them since they work awesomly in fights. whoever says they're first targets can have the same response everyone gets when they place a small challenge in front of me like "i cant go to the store it's raining"

Repair ships are good. our three fights in alpha vs outcasts where one was observed by the admins were full success.
