Counterfeit Software

Can anyone offer insight to why Software is sold on both Leiden and Ames for exactly the same amount in systems right next to each other? I can understand that the two bases serve different routes but doesn't the neutrality of the Zoners negate Leiden as a potential buy point?

I ask due to my base idea which deals in contraband goods and as such, requires incentive for the various smugglers and factions to visit. The Ames/Leiden duality however robs the Lane Hackers of that potential as offering a price on the base is negated entirely by Ames. (Why dock on a base when a Zoner one is just a couple of jumps away?)

Freeport 4 was taken by Liberty navy in order to keep it from falling into GRN hands. After the action, it stayed under Liberty Navy against the protests from the IMG.

But it still has IMG IFF

Counterfeit Software being product of Lane Hackers are being distributed on Ames as well for gameplay reasons of allowing legal traders to involve themselves into smuggling this contraband.

Same as Slaves ( DSE and LR bases in NY ) or Black Market Munitions ( Ageira and Junker bases in NY )

Also, we don't like much visitors in our hideouts.
