its just not fit for freelancer,a 'turn-based' event its just too slow for the type of combat we have in our game, while it could work with some changes,like...a flag ship for official faction that can only be flown during events, therefor making it more stronger ,having players to think about their strategies as in what to bring to a fight even the option to retreat(via a JD4) and bring something else that would be more fit

Don't get what you mean with FLHook, but what I request here is not about changing something in game mechanics or something. It can be done by pure Players participation.
This event is an oppurtunity for Players outside the Official Factions to lead a "Fleet" / "Army" whatever faction and to form their own strategies by Just watching the whole Situation in a Strategy Game Point of View and command people from there instead of participiating in the Event in a Ship like faction leaders do.
So the one guiding these factions will stay alive until the end of the event obviously and can see how his Fleet either wins with his set of strategies and tactics or see it Loose and be like well "Good Game". As in for the Faction Members it'd just be like an usual PvP event but this time improving more the "Following orders" section. How it is to just play by strategicly instead of "I'm gonna engage this person however I want". Adapt to the Players point of view of strategy.
Here, community members are invited to see how it is to lead a particular Faction under a view of a Camera Ship (because you've a more wide opened view instead being involved in the Battle).

there's not much of a strategy to fight other than kill what you can and as fast as you can, basically what we already have, x attack y and so on with a simple preset message
if you want people to need a strategy than you need something to require it,ie. something that is hard to kill and well defended by the other team(a flag ship,4 times the armor and shield of battleship but no guns)

Making Disco a RTS?
Why not write something like an Empire at War mod and let the players continue to do their thing?
And preexisting characters can fly around with their own special bits, like the LNS Tundra.
For example, Byron Hall, my Core| guy in the Spatial, would get a massive bonus vs. Capship shields ('cause I pack an ASURAS), but be ungodly expensive (for a snub).
