I have trouble running it on windowed mode. After a few minutes my FL crash for some reason.

Yes, Thats all I use freelancer in is Windowed Mode, Reason being is because I do multiple tasks in the background and, It works great for me.

I have the Windows XP OS SP1 and I've used in SP2, I've not tested in SP3.
If your having problems I sudjest you attpemt using it in The Freelancer Account Manager. It has that option as well.
