I cannot go into too much detail nor promise something that might take a while to process, but we are aware of the situation there, although from a completely different reason.
Right now, this spot is one of the very few that has an issue with the current ID lines of "ZOI = house of X + systems Bordering" as they are independent worlds that are not covered by two houses, such as Kepler/Galileo and Magellan/Cortez. This leads to huge issues when it comes to either side trying to deal with unlawful ships.
We know of this issue and we will be fixing it...somehow. Sad to say, it is not currently too high on the huge mountain of to-do list that we still need to burn through. That, however, I see happening soon now that we have new mods to babysit the forum. If there are changes coming, we will let you know.
However - right now the rules are as they are.
Omega 3 is not house space and can be pirated in by Junkers for example.
Omega 3 is house Controlled Space (By Bretonia) and is open for this line:
House Controlled Space
- House Military, Police, and Intelligence factions may enforce roleplay consequences upon any players, factions, and POBs found breaking House Laws within House Controlled Space, only if they are personally there to witness the legal infraction while uncloaked and equipped with a House Military, Police, or Intelligence faction ID.
as opposed to non-controlled space which adds another line regarding non-hostile POBs.
At the same time Omega 3 is within the BAF "Systems Bordering Bretonia" and their IDs are withing ZOI in that system.
However, Omega 7 is not.
BAF players are allowed to freely exit their ZOI as long as they understand the limitations that come with this action as well as potential roleplay consequences.
We are aware of the treaties between Bretonia and Rheinland, but allowing players free reign when it comes to RP Treaties changing ID ZOIs is not something we can allow. It has been brought up however, due to the situation these linked systems pose with the aftermentioned piracy problem. Something will be done about it, but not now.
Thank you! It is clear now, and I am glad the problem is being worked on. I understand why this is the case, as Liberty Navy indies trying to enforce Liberty law in Bretonia (which is part of their ZOI) have already been a problem.
Omega 3 might belong to Bretonia in some point (bretonian factions do have bases there) but still it is a boarder world system and no house system. Also Omega 3 doesn't have any police or military base (as far as i know) and therefore there should be no way for police/military to prevent junkers from making some income (the reason i'm saying this is because boarder worlds that are under protection of law should have at least a battleship/police station where military/police patrols are starting from. Patrols without starting point are not making any sense right?).
So IF Omega 3 is going to be under protection of law and RP there should be at least a bretonia police/military base/battleship and it should be officially claimed by bretonia and made a house system. As long as that doesn't happen i think we can all agree that Junkers are free to pirate in Omega 3.
There is a Dunkirk station called Battleship Gwent in the system, belonging to the BAF, by Planet Sprague, which belongs to the BPA. It has officially been claimed by Bretonian years ago. This doesn't change anything related to the Junkers though, nor allows the BAF to go 1 system further than Omega-3, although their ZOI is Bretonia + 1. This might change in the future, but that is all I know.
Nothing prevents you from going you further than your ZOI. Just that you may not follow your ID's rights in that case.
