My name is Stella Hoshii, i am the current administrator of the Corinth Research Station. As it is believed to be the closest Zoner installation to the borders of the Corsair Empire - i believe some formalities are in order. Velvet, however, will not interfere with the business of the Corsair Empire in any way, however, i see a ground for cooperation between the two of our organisations. To a degree that does not put our neutrality and main goal to jeopardy: Velvet, after all, is mainly focused on fighting the Nomad threat and ensuring a degree of freedom and safety for all of the people following our banner.
And this is where our first request is coming from: the weapons. Velvet is looking to reach maximum efficiency in fighting the Nomad threat by almost any means necessary, from enchancing the capabilities of individual pilots to developing more efficient weapons. And the latter is exactly what we are striving to achieve at the present moment, and Corsairs weapons in particular have sparked our interest. Would The Brotherhood possibly be willing to procure a few samples for our engineers to study? Rest assured that the results will not be shared with any third parties and kept exclusively within the Velvet research and development division.
This, however, is not the only concern i wish to address. You may be interested in development of quite an egocentric state of Maltese. They refer to themselves as Maltese Unitary Republic of Hispania and have so far proven to be extremely territorial, agressive and shady, suspected to have connections with The Core and House of Bretonia. These assumptions, however, only exist on the right of theories and have no solid ground except for the claims of the secretary of a certain Maltese Don. But we are cautious about trusting such wild claims. It is, however, still better to be notified about the existing threat and being able to respond to it adequately. And that raises a question - if we meet the interference of the said "Unitary Republic" in the northern Omicrons, especially Kappa and Delta - would the Corsair Empire stand with us against the Maltese? Our relations have been nothing but tense, and we'd rather have some solid support in case things go rough.

Señorita.
As in the past, Velvet can find a good and supportive neighbour in our empire.
Perhaps you are aware of past collaboration and mutual engagements against the nomad threat, specifically the grand attack on Freeport eleven now nearly a year ago.
If so that you would be aware that the Brotherhood does not shy even employing our flagship el Memoria and it's home fleet to come to your people's aid.
Naturally, the struggle against that what is not human unites us all in a common goal.
I am not surprised your people have an interest in Corsair weaponry. You would do well to specify what weaponry in particular you are interested in.
Depending on your wishes we might be able to come to an agreement.
When it comes to the Maltese our warriors take great pride in facing them in battle.
I will instruct el Comisario Pepe Ladron to establish an encrypted emergency channel for your people to call on any Corsair patrol that might be in the vicinity of possible engagements for quick reinforcements.
You would do well to get acquainted with Comisario Ladron. I myself find myself quite busy with an ongoing military expedition and in my absence from Crete he makes sure the Brotherhood's grip on the many facets of Corsair politics and state remains strong.
An eccentric but capable hombre indeed, and I am certain he will be delighted to continue this conversation with you.

Friendship of your people is appreciated as much as the quick reply; tensions with the Maltese have cooled down, and i very much wish for it to stay that way; i am, however, not delusional and convinced that the clash with the Maltese will happen, and i'd rather have it happen later and the provocation not coming from Velvet. I have spent quite some effort in mitigating this particular clash and would not want to see it all go in vain.
We are not the ones to ignite the flames of conflict, and should never be, but should someone seek to harm us - we will respond in full courtesy.
In times like these it is relieving to have such neighbors as The Corsair Empire.
Now - to the essence of my request: the weapons. While all of the weapons produced in the Empire are sure to be a masterpiece - most of them have it's counterpart, so what have sparked my interest the most are The Loberas. While most of our pilots are satisfied with the conveniently available weapons commonly referred to as "Debiliators" - some are still looking for distinction, more distinction than said Debiliators can provide. And Loberas are a perfect, not to mention that one of a few choices that may provide such distinction. I would say that here i see two possible options, but the one that involves sharing a designated number of specified weapons for our engineers to reverse engineer is likely out of the question. Yet i hope our interest will not go in vain and we will come to a satisfactory solution.

I hear lot of words here, like business, friendship, interest, procure, request... oh and sharing too. You do know what sharing means, our good neighbor, si? We are for sharing with friends, of course. It's called el exchange. Mucho nice word. Me gusta.
You just forgot to mention what would you share back for Loberas, si? It is our finest weapon, indeed.
Just to add we are both lucky to have each other for neighbor. Nomads and their Maltese pets really might have our asses on el plate if we don't act together and you can count on it, no matter what happens with this tech exchange matter. We already proved we can teamwork just fine.
Oh and... are your ears moving?
*Ladron reached off button on his comm, but seems like poor button was glued recently. He was turning his comm on and off several times, trying to release his finger. Lot of things about certain body parts, cows, goats and their body parts could be heard, in a sexual way, while he was switching comms on and off. *

You are indeed raising a valid concern - an exchange is implying both parties involved offering something equal as a subject of exchange. And i assure you, senor Ladron - we have something to impress your pilots. After the collapse of the Reapers of Sirius and before any connection to the Cayman was lost - a Zoner expedition have managed to board one of the stations abandoned by their former owners, recover whatever valuable data was still stored in the mainframe and withdraw back to the nearest friendly installation.
This is where my offer is coming from.
Here on Corinth we have the documentation and production capacity to independently manufacture these weapons in accorance to the blueprints. Not lacking the resources either. Everything to supply our individual pilots who prefer them over the native Zoner developments.
I may and will include The Brotherhood into the recipients of those weapons, including the "Hades", considering certain... specifications i know about your pilots it may come very well to their liking. Whetever you will or will not extend the offer on your side remains up to your judgement, but my offer stands like this.
Yes, senor Ladron. My ears are moving. But it is more of an uncontrollable reflex. Perhaps related to the emotional and psychological state, but this is only my theory. I did not have anyone, including myself, to study their exact behavior and what it depends on.

*Unplugs his comm, not trusting this on/off buttons any more. Button would make a long face, if it only could. It would also make a happy face, like someone that was promised to live another day. But, it couldn't, as already mentioned.*
