Good Morning,

As you may be aware, we founded the United Hope Foundation to assist in the relocation and rehabilitation of former slaves; this was also of great assistance in our ability to assist in the relocation of those who became displaced in the conflict surrounding Planet Leeds.

We come to you today seeking your assistance. It has been brought to our attention some of these individuals are being carried off planet by some unknown entry point within the planets orbit and we have unsuccessfully been able to track who are pilfering humans in what I suspect is a human slave endemic gripping Liberty at the moment.

We fear for the safety of these people involved in this epidemic. It's not that we cannot give these people jobs, it's the sheer lack of space for living accommodation on an inhospitable planet, and the continued influx of refugees from both of the Bretonian wars have left us with squalid conditions due to a sheer lack of habitable space, and as we are unable to provide constant security for the large number of people residing on Planet Pittsburg we are seeking alternative arrangements.

We are currently seeking assistance from the Liberty Police and other assorted organisations to improve the security surrounding the planet, and to conduct investigations into who may be responsible for this atrocious act of human trafficking; however as this will take longer than we are willing to risk, we require your assistance.

We are looking into the possibility of relocating and repatriating a large number of these individuals, in the hopes of not only alleviating the space issue but providing more jobs for the domestic population. Many of these individuals have successfully undergone therapy and have since received assistance in reintegrating into society after the horrors many have seen. As to be expected, those being relocated will only be moved in passenger liners operated by either Doe Industries, or our satellite company - Deep Space Engineering. A crew will be on board to tend to any issues that may arise, medical or otherwise.

I hope to find you in good favor and that you can get back to me in an urgent manner, as the health and wellbeing of these people is our top priority.

Dear Representatives of the United Hope Foundation,

Thank you for your efforts, and for reaching out to us.

To give you an overview of what (little) we know of the Leeds diaspora.

During the war, a great deal of Leeds residents fled the planet, the vast majority moving to New London and further south, but as you are aware a considerable amount also moved to Liberty, with some even moving to Rheinland. Liberty was by far the most popular destination, and has the most Bretonian refugees, as long as you do not count the vast, unknown numbers of citizens forcefully deported to Gallia for work.

The numbers are, as you can imagine due to the sheer scale, hard to pin down. Of the original 15 billion plus that inhabited the planet at the turn of the century, the population dropped to around 6 billion in 826, before it happened. This is a gap of 9 billion citizens. Many hundreds of millions perished in the invasion and occupation, but the vast majority left, especially in the years leading up to the invasion. As of present day, we can count at least 4 billion former Leeds residents on New London, with anywhere between 1 and 3 billion spread among our other planets. Yes, it is that inexact..Our census capabilities are extremely limited as a result of New London being bombarded. These non New London refugees are focusing on Sprague and to a lesser extent Exeter (though this will likely change).

This leaves several hundreds of millions of dead or fled Leeds residents. We think several hundreds of millions are in Gallia, and several hundreds of millions are in Liberty, with tens of millions in Rheinland. I really do not know to be exact, and suffice it to say, the numbers in Liberty are quite considerable.

Now, to the current situation. Migration between Liberty has, as a result of the war end, and situations like the one you mention, began to favor returnees to Bretonia. We are providing returning citizens with land on Sprague and Exeter, and we have this land in plenty. Sprague is the more favored destination, as the 7 years since we settled the planet has seen considerable infrastructure take shape. Any effort by you or other Liberty corporations to support returning Bretonia citizens, especially those in difficult situations like you mention, will be supported wholeheartedly by the Bretonian Government and we will take in as many as you can send. Sprague is the ideal destination.

We have signed a treaty with Gallia in which they agree to repatriate the many millions they abducted, and we hope for a similar movement from the north as well. We are aware of the scale of the challenge, but with the loss of Leeds and the population there, getting our people back is vital to the recovery of our economy and happiness of our citizens.
